What is cross-staking and why is it harmful to the ecosystem?

Cross-staking occurs when a group of users repeatedly stakes on the same creator’s content in a coordinated or repetitive way, regardless of the content’s quality or uniqueness. This type of behavior is considered a form of manipulation, as it can artificially inflate staking activity and reduce fairness across the platform. Practices such as cross-staking, spamming, fake content, repetitive content, and other similar behaviors do not add value to the ecosystem and may negatively impact its overall quality and integrity. When such activity is detected, it may result in fund deductions, withdrawal-related errors, and/or account blocking.

What is spamming and why is it harmful to the ecosystem?

Spamming refers to repeatedly uploading content that provides little or no value to the platform. Spam content can include:
  • Fake or non-genuine content
  • Content captured from a screen
  • Unclear or irrelevant uploads
  • Low-quality or repetitive content
Practices such as spamming, fake content, and other forms of manipulation do not contribute to the ecosystem and may negatively impact the platform’s fairness and overall quality. When such activity is detected, it may result in fund deductions, withdrawal-related errors, and/or account blocking.

Am I able to use more than one account?

No. You are allowed to maintain only one active account in the app. If you currently have more than one account, please select the primary account you wish to use and ensure that only this account remains active. This applies to all activities within the platform, including:
  • Content creation
  • Staking
  • Affiliate activity
  • Any other community engagement
If you are experiencing technical issues with your account, please contact our support team at support@collectivememory.ai for assistance. Please note:
Any attempt to misuse or manipulate multiple accounts may result in account suspension and the removal of all associated funds. Such activity is closely monitored.

Why is repetitive content harmful to the ecosystem?

Repetitive content refers to documenting the same or very similar content repeatedly over an extended period of time — for example, posting the same type of action daily or documenting the same street or scene over and over again. While this type of content is not automatically considered manipulation, excessive repetition can create conditions that lead to problematic behaviors, such as cross-staking. When users repeatedly stake on very similar content from the same creator, it may be identified as cross-staking behavior — especially if staking activity does not reflect genuine content quality or diversity.

How to avoid issues:

  • Avoid consistently staking on repetitive content from the same user.
  • Avoid manufacturing only repetitive content yourself.
  • Regularly review your profile — if you notice similar content patterns, consider diversifying your posts.
  • Focus on creativity, originality, and varied perspectives.
