# The Three Ways to Participate Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/3-motivations There are three ways to participate in Collective Memory. \ Most people who do well combine all three. *** ## Create You see something worth documenting. You open the app and capture it. A protest forming in the city center. A flood nobody's covering. A DJ set that won't exist tomorrow. A moment of beauty in an ordinary street. Post it directly — no filters, no editing, no uploading from your camera roll. Raw, geotagged, timestamped. A permanent record of something real. Every time someone stakes ATTN on a memory, the creator earns a 5% fee. Automatically, directly. No brand deals, no follower thresholds, no algorithm deciding whether the content deserves distribution. If people think it matters, the creator gets paid. A memory that captures a breaking event and attracts serious staking can generate real income — not just once, but continuously, as it resurfaces and attracts new stakes over time. The creators doing best on the platform aren't posting once a week. They're mapping reality consistently — building a body of work that compounds. *** ## Stake Scrolling the feed. Footage from inside a protest in Tehran that nobody else has. First-row coverage from Paris Fashion Week. A flood in a city that isn't making the news yet. Something important that should be seen. On every other platform, you'd hit like and move on. On Collective Memory, you stake ATTN on it. Not just expressing an opinion — making a financial commitment. Saying: this matters, and I'm putting something behind it. Stake early on a memory that later attracts more attention, and the position grows in value. The bonding curve rewards early discovery — the first people to recognize something important get more tokens per ATTN than those who follow. It's the opposite of how the web works. PageRank rewards the already-famous. This system rewards the people who find things first. If the memory doesn't attract further staking, the staker may take a loss. That's the point. The signal is only meaningful because it costs something. *** ## Promote Bring others in. When someone you referred earns as a creator, you earn 10% of what they make. Not a one-time bonus — an ongoing share of the value they create. Find one serious reality mapper, and you benefit from everything they build on the platform. The best promoters aren't blasting referral links. They're identifying people with real potential — journalists, photographers, activists, travelers, people who are already documenting the world and getting nothing for it except likes that don't pay rent — and bringing them into a system that actually rewards that. *** Three roles. One economy. Designed so the people who add the most value take home the most value. No algorithm deciding who wins. No platform extracting everything while creators get exposure. # Affiliate and Affiliate Bonus Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/affiliate-and-affiliate-bonus ## **Should I use my affiliate code to bring new users?** Yes! Collective Memory thrives on building strong communities. One of the best ways to contribute to the ecosystem—and increase your potential earnings—is by bringing great new users to the app using your affiliate code. You can find your unique affiliate code in the app:\ **App → PPL → Viral or Affiliate** ## **What do I receive when I use my affiliate code?** If a new user joins the app using your affiliate code, you receive **two types of bonuses**: ### **1. Sign-Up Bonus** Both you and the new user receive a **sign-up bonus**. The reward amount depends on your position in the **Creators ranking (You can check your position in the app > PPL > Top > Creators)**: * **Top 20 Creator** – 5000 pATTN reward, **no daily limit** * **Top 100 Creator** – 2500 pATTN reward, **up to 50 users per day** * **Top 200 Creator** – 1000 pATTN reward, **up to 10 users per day** * **Top 500 Creator** – 100 pATTN reward, **up to 5 users per day** * **Above Top 500** **Creator** – 10 pATTN reward, **up to 1 user per day** Once you reach the **daily limit**, you can still invite new users to your affiliate circle, but **no additional sign-up rewards will be granted for that day**. ### **2. Affiliate Earning Bonus** For a period of **6 months**, you will receive **30% of the pATTN earnings generated by users who joined through your affiliate code**. This bonus is credited to **your account balance**, and **not directly to your withdrawable amount**. **Update (June 2026):** As the Collective Memory ecosystem continues to grow, the affiliate bonus has been adjusted to 10% of eligible Creator Revenue generated by users who joined through your affiliate code. To maintain a fair and healthy economy, affiliate earnings are now calculated only from legitimate activity. Revenue generated through fake content, ATTN manipulation, coordinated engagement, ring activity, or other violations of the platform rules is excluded from affiliate bonus calculations. ## **How does my affiliate profits reflect in the withdrawable amount?** For a full breakdown of all withdrawable funds under Economy 1.1, please see the following article:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/understanding-economy-1-1-withdrawal](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/understanding-economy-1-1-withdrawal) # ATTN Withdrawal Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/attn-withdrawal ## **I successfully withdrew ATTN - what’s next?** **Check Your Balance**
Make sure the ATTN amount is visible in your Collective Memory account. On the CM app, go to:
**Wallet > ATTN – Attention Token** (under **TOKENS**). **Decide What to Do Next**
You can either: * **Keep the ATTN token** in your wallet, or * **Swap it to USDC** if you want to sell it for cash. **Learn More**
Before deciding, we recommend reading about the ATTN token and its potential on our relevant [blog post](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/attention-as-currency). ## **How to Swap Your ATTN to USDC?** There are a few ways to swap ATTN to USDC within the Collective Memory (CM) app: ### **Option 1: Swap and Send Using the CM App** 1. Go to Wallet > SWAP > Swap ATTN to USDC. 2. After swapping, you can send the USDC to an external wallet or another swapping app:
Wallet > TRANSFER > Send. **⚠️ Important: USDC transfers from the Collective Memory app are sent via the Base network. Please ensure the receiving wallet supports Base before transferring.** ### **Option 2: Use an External Wallet App** 1. Export your CM wallet to an external wallet (e.g., Base, Uniswap):
Wallet > TRANSFER > Settings > Account & Security > Recovery Phrase. **Please note:** You will receive an email titled “Your wallet private key was exported” at the email address associated with your account. This is a standard security notification, and since you initiated the action, there is no cause for concern. If you receive this email without requesting to view or export your keys, please contact the support team immediately. 2. Using the unique Recovery Phrase > Import your wallet into the external app and perform swaps there. **⚠️ Important: Never share your unique Recovery Phrase with anyone!** ## UPDATE for wallets created after June 2026 As of June 2026, we have increased the security level of our wallets. As a result, Recovery Phrases are no longer available for new wallets created on or after this date. ### What Are Your Options? * Use the **Swap** and **Send** options directly in the Collective Memory app. * If available in your region, you can also use the **Debit Card** option. For more information, please contact our support team. * You may create a new wallet using the Base app and transfer your funds from your Collective Memory wallet to your new Base wallet in order to perform swaps there. **Please use only the Base app for this process, as it supports both USDC on Base and ATTN on Base.** ## Important Notes & Safety Tips * Never share your Recovery Phrase with anyone. * If this is your first transfer, we recommend sending a small test amount (approximately \$5–10 USD) first to make sure everything works correctly. * Do not send ATTN directly to external wallets or exchanges (such as Binance or Bybit). Always swap ATTN to USDC first.
You can do the swap in the Collective Memory app or in the Base app. * Transfers to and from the Collective Memory app are processed on the Base network. Before making a transfer, please make sure the receiving wallet or exchange supports the Base network. For additional help at any stage, please contact: [support@collectivememory.ai](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai) # Basic Functions Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/basic-functions ## **My Profile** You can access your profile by tapping the small bubble with your profile picture and nickname in the upper-right corner of the app. Inside your profile, you’ll find the following options: * **Change profile picture** → Tap your profile image * **Change nickname** → Edit the *User Name* below your profile picture * **Log out** → Tap the *Logout* button above your profile picture * **Support** → Access helpful information about the app via the *Support* button * **Delete account** → Use the *Delete Account* button below your profile picture * **Wallet address** → Available in the upper-left corner ### **Account Overview** Your profile also displays key account metrics: * Ranking * pATTN balance * Current withdrawable amount * Total ATTN withdrawn * USDC balance (if you’ve swapped ATTN to USDC) **Tip:** Some metrics are displayed in both pATTN and projected USD. You can tap on the values to switch between these views. The withdrawable amount is also shown in both pATTN and USD. Please note that the conversion ratio from pATTN to ATTN is 4:1. For more details, refer to this article:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/understanding-economy-1-1-withdrawal](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/understanding-economy-1-1-withdrawal) ### **Withdraw ATTN** To withdraw your monthly available amount (convert pATTN to ATTN), simply tap the **“Withdraw ATTN”** button in your profile. ### **Get 20 pATTN** You can collect **20 pATTN every 24 hours** directly into your balance. ## **Staking** You can stake on any content within the app. To learn more, read the full guide:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/staking-attn](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/staking-attn) **How to stake:** 1. Browse content using the *New*, *Top*, or *Core* feeds 2. Enter a memory 3. Choose your stake amount using the slider or by entering a value ## **Redeem Investor Profits** To manage your investments: 1. Go to **My > Invested** 2. View all content you’ve staked on 3. Common reasons include: * Creating or uploading non-genuine content * Excessive spam posting * Cross-staking between multiple accounts * Using multiple accounts (double account activity) * Harassing other users within the app * Posting or promoting offensive or inappropriate content These behaviors are considered attempts to manipulate the platform and do not contribute positively to the ecosystem. ## **Where can I learn more?** For a detailed breakdown of acceptable and non-acceptable behavior, please refer to our guidelines:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/user-behavior-policy-dos-don-ts-and-best-practices](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/user-behavior-policy-dos-don-ts-and-best-practices) ## **Still have questions?** If anything is unclear you can reach out to our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai) — we’re here to help. ## **Blocked from withdrawal:** Whats App Image 2026 06 22 At 10 51 59 If you encounter this error while trying to withdraw, please follow these steps: First, check whether your account is blocked. Here are a few simple checks: * Are you able to post new content? * Are you able to stake? * Are you able to redeem creator or investor profits? If you are unable to perform all of these actions, your account is likely blocked. Please review the information in this article. If you are able to complete all of these actions and still encounter the error, please contact the support team by email and include: * A screenshot of the error. * Confirmation that you are able to post, stake, and redeem profits. Providing this information in advance will help us assess the issue more efficiently. # Challenges Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/challenges ## **Should I participate in the Daily Challenges?** Yes! Participating in Collective Memory Daily Challenges is one of the best ways to accumulate ATTN and increase visibility for both your account and your content. This is especially recommended for new users. Even if you don’t win the challenge, participating can significantly increase awareness and engagement around your memories. ## **How do I participate in a Daily Challenge?** 1. Start by posting a **text memory** that includes the relevant hashtag (#) of the challenge. 2. Upload content that fits the challenge theme. This can be: * An image * A video * One memory or multiple memories ### **Please make sure to:** * Include the correct hashtag (#) in your post together with the relevant content. * Upload the challenge content shortly after posting the hashtag, so the connection between them is clear. * Be creative — while keeping the content clearly aligned with the challenge topic. ## **What do I receive if I win a Daily Challenge?** If you win a Daily Challenge, your memory is credited with a **revenue injection**. Injected memories benefit from a double positive effect: 1. **Direct Profit Boost** – The injection itself is typically substantial and increases the memory’s profitability. 2. **Maximum Exposure** – Injected memories receive the highest level of visibility in the system, encouraging more users to stake on them. After your memory is injected and receives additional staking, you can redeem your creator funds — increasing your overall profits. # Collective Memory; Web2 ↔ Web3 Architecture Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/collective-memory-web2-web3 ## How Collective Memory bridges Firebase with an immutable on-chain ledger on Base \ Collective Memory (CM) is a social content platform where users create **memories** (photos, videos, text) and other users express belief in those memories by **staking** the platform's native token. The system bridges a traditional Firebase/Firestore web2 backend with an immutable on-chain ledger on **Base** (Ethereum L2), creating a dual-layer architecture: fast UX in web2, verifiable truth on-chain. ## System Overview ```mermaid placement="top-right" actions={true} theme={null} graph TD subgraph Client["Mobile App (Flutter)"] A[Stakes · Redeems · Creates Memories · Views] end subgraph Web2["Firebase / Firestore"] B[(memory)] C[(pATTN_transactions)] D[(user_investments)] E[Cloud Functions] end subgraph Web3["Base Chain · L2 · chainId 8453"] F["pATTN Token (ERC-20)"] G["LedgerRouter (UUPS Proxy)"] H[Treasury] I[User Vaults] J[Memory Vaults] K[Content Tokens] end A -- "Firestore reads/writes" --> B A -- "Firestore reads/writes" --> C A -- "Firestore reads/writes" --> D E -- "Operator wallet signs txs" --> G G --- F G --- H G --> I G --> J G --> K ``` *** ## Primitives The entire system is built on three primitives — each with a web2 representation (Firestore document) and a web3 representation (on-chain contracts). ### pATTN — Proto Attention Token The unit of value in the system. A standard ERC-20 token deployed on Base. The entire 1B supply is pre-minted to the deployer and transferred to the **Treasury** wallet. From there, the LedgerRouter moves pATTN in and out of user/memory vaults as directed by the backend. | Property | Value | | ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Name | Proto Attention Token | | Symbol | `pATTN` | | Decimals | 6 | | Max Supply | 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) | | Contract | `PATTNToken.sol` | | Base Mainnet | [`0xd6fB...2939bc`](https://basescan.org/address/0xd6fB4C152CdD6a5c52eBd2eB5159D7F54c2939bc) | A future mainnet token **ATTN** (`ATTNToken.sol`) shares the same structure but has a separate deployment path. ### User A user in web2 is a Firebase Auth UID (e.g. `ZY7pZu4txwcXw7nnOE0rmBU14g83`). On-chain, each user is identified by `bytes32(keccak256(userId))`. Each user gets **two on-chain entities**, deployed lazily on first interaction: | Entity | Contract | Purpose | | -------------- | ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **User Vault** | `MinimalVaultUpgradeable` | Holds the user's pATTN balance and any Content Tokens received from staking | | **User Token** | `ContentERC20Upgradeable` | Per-user ERC-20 (1M supply, 6 decimals) — reserved for future social-graph tokenization | ### Memory A memory is user-generated content (image, video, text) stored in Firestore under the `memory` collection. On-chain: `bytes32(keccak256(memoryId))`. Each memory gets **two on-chain entities**, also deployed lazily: | Entity | Contract | Purpose | | ---------------- | ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Memory Vault** | `MinimalVaultUpgradeable` | Holds the pATTN staked into this memory (the memory's TVL) | | **Memory Token** | `ContentERC20Upgradeable` | Unique ERC-20 representing belief-shares in this memory. 1M supply, 6 decimals. Minted once, distributed to stakers proportionally | ```mermaid theme={null} graph LR subgraph "On-chain per Memory" MV["Memory Vault

It owns every vault and token (as their OpenZeppelin `Ownable` owner), meaning **only the Router can move funds**. External callers must be the Router's owner (admin) or an approved operator. ### Deterministic Addressing (CREATE2) All vaults and tokens are deployed via `CREATE2` with deterministic salts, making addresses predictable before deployment: ```solidity theme={null} User Vault → keccak256("USER", keccak256(userId)) Memory Vault → keccak256("CONTENT_VAULT", keccak256(memoryId)) Memory Token → keccak256("CONTENT_TOKEN", keccak256(memoryId)) User Token → keccak256("USER_TOKEN", keccak256(userId)) ``` The `compute*Address()` view functions return addresses at zero gas cost. The `Create*IfMissing()` functions are idempotent — calling them for an already-deployed entity is a no-op. ### Beacon Proxy Pattern Vaults and tokens are `BeaconProxy` instances pointing to shared implementation beacons. Upgrading a beacon implementation upgrades **all** proxies simultaneously. ```mermaid theme={null} graph TD VB["Vault Beacon
MinimalVaultUpgradeable impl"] TB["Token Beacon
ContentERC20Upgradeable impl"] VB --> UV1["User Vault A"] VB --> UV2["User Vault B"] VB --> MV1["Memory Vault X"] VB --> MV2["Memory Vault Y"] TB --> MT1["Memory Token X"] TB --> MT2["Memory Token Y"] TB --> UT1["User Token A"] TB --> UT2["User Token B"] style VB fill:#0f3460,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff style TB fill:#0f3460,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff ``` ### Operator Model The Router uses an allowlist of **operator wallets**. Backend Cloud Functions hold operator private keys and sign transactions — this is the bridge between web2 and web3. ```mermaid theme={null} sequenceDiagram participant App as Mobile App participant FS as Firestore participant CF as Cloud Function participant OP as Operator Wallet participant RT as LedgerRouter participant BC as Base Chain App->>FS: Write pATTN_transaction CF->>FS: Listen for new transactions CF->>OP: Sign transaction OP->>RT: Call Stake / Redeem / Sync RT->>BC: Execute on-chain BC-->>RT: Emit events ``` *** ## Core Operations ### Stake (User → Memory) When a user stakes pATTN into a memory, pATTN flows from the user to the memory, and Memory Tokens flow back. ```mermaid theme={null} sequenceDiagram participant T as Treasury participant UV as User Vault participant MV as Memory Vault participant MT as Memory Token Note over UV,MV: Router.Stake(userId, memoryId, attnAmt, tokenAmt) T-->>UV: Fund if needed UV->>MV: Transfer pATTN MV->>UV: Transfer Memory Tokens Note over UV: User now holds belief-shares Note over MV: TVL increased ``` ### Redeem Staker (User ← Memory) When a user redeems, pATTN returns and Memory Tokens are burned. ```mermaid theme={null} sequenceDiagram participant T as Treasury participant UV as User Vault participant MV as Memory Vault Note over UV,MV: Router.Redeem(userId, memoryId, attnAmt, tokenAmt) MV->>UV: Return pATTN T-->>UV: Cover shortfall if MV balance insufficient Note over UV: Memory Tokens burned (routerBurnFrom) ``` The returned pATTN may be more or less than the original stake, depending on how the memory's TVL has grown through other stakes and injections. ### Creator Redeem (Memory → Creator) Memory creators earn revenue when others stake. `CreatorRedeem` pays out from the Memory Vault with the Treasury as backstop: ```solidity theme={null} Router.CreatorRedeem(memoryId, creatorUserId, amount, memo) // pATTN: Memory Vault → Creator's User Vault (remainder from Treasury) ``` ### Injections & Rewards | Operation | Router Function | Flow | Effect | | -------------------- | --------------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Memory Injection** | `Sync` | Treasury → Memory Vault | Boosts TVL without minting tokens (rewards existing stakers) | | **User Reward** | `Sync` | Treasury → User Vault | Grants pATTN directly (awards, bonuses) | | **User Penalty** | `Sync` | User Vault → Treasury | Claws back pATTN | ### Sync — Universal Reconciliation `Sync` is the most important low-level operation. It moves either **pATTN** or **Memory Tokens** between three locations: ```mermaid theme={null} graph LR T[Treasury] <--> UV[User Vault] T <--> MV[Memory Vault] UV <--> MV style T fill:#533483,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff style UV fill:#16213e,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff style MV fill:#1a1a2e,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff ``` Every movement emits a canonical `Synced` event for full auditability. The higher-level `Sync(id, scope, target)` variant computes the delta automatically and calls the generic mover. *** ## How Value Is Created ### Original Design: Uniswap AMM Pairs The original architecture used **Uniswap V2** to create an automated market for each memory: ```mermaid theme={null} graph LR subgraph "Per-Memory Uniswap V2 Pool" LP["Liquidity Pool
10,000 Memory Tokens + 10 ATTN"] end Stake["Stake (Buy)"] -- "ATTN →" --> LP LP -- "← Memory Tokens" --> Stake Redeem["Redeem (Sell)"] -- "Memory Tokens →" --> LP LP -- "← ATTN" --> Redeem style LP fill:#0f3460,stroke:#e94560,color:#fff ``` * **Staking** = buying Memory Tokens with ATTN through the pool (price goes up) * **Redeeming** = selling Memory Tokens back for ATTN (price goes down) * **Linking memories** = the `cmLiquidity` contract splits ATTN, buys tokens of two memories, and adds cross-liquidity — creating a **value bridge** between memories Each memory had a real-time market price driven by supply and demand via the constant product formula `x * y = k`. ### Current Design: Managed Ledger Router The production system replaced Uniswap pools with a **managed ledger** for several reasons: No AMM swap fees or slippage per transaction Token-to-pATTN ratios controlled by the backend Full pipeline runs off-chain, settles on-chain in batches Users never need ETH or wallet interactions Each memory still gets a unique ERC-20 (1M supply, 6 decimals), and the bonding math (how many tokens per pATTN staked) is computed off-chain by the Firebase backend using the same AMM curve principles. The on-chain Router then executes the pre-calculated movements. **The AMM math still governs pricing** — it just runs in the Firebase layer rather than in a Uniswap pool. The on-chain contracts serve as the immutable settlement and custody layer. *** ## On-Chain Contracts ### MinimalVault — Custody Each vault is a simple token-holding contract with two operations: | Function | Direction | Description | | --------------------------------- | --------- | --------------------------------------------------------- | | `pull(token, from, amount, memo)` | Inbound | Transfers tokens into the vault (requires prior approval) | | `push(token, to, amount, memo)` | Outbound | Transfers tokens out of the vault | Every movement emits a `LedgerMove` event with a sequential nonce, token address, direction, counterparty, amount, and memo string — creating a complete, auditable on-chain history. Only the Router (as `owner`) can call `pull` and `push`. No user or external contract can directly move funds from a vault. ### ContentERC20 — Memory Token A minimal ERC-20 with two special capabilities: | Function | Description | | ------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | `mintOnce(to, amount)` | Can only be called once (when `totalSupply == 0`). Mints the full supply into the Memory Vault | | `routerBurnFrom(from, amount)` | Allows the Router to burn tokens from any vault it controls (used during staker redemptions) | Fixed at 6 decimals. Fully standard ERC-20 otherwise (transferable, queryable). ### Content Provenance The Router records provenance metadata linking on-chain entities to off-chain content storage: ```solidity theme={null} event MemoryContentRecorded(memoryId, memoryToken, memoryIdStr, blobId, provider) event MemoryInterfaceRecorded(memoryId, memoryToken, memoryIdStr, url, provider) ``` This creates a verifiable chain: **token → blobId/URL → content** (e.g., a Walrus blob or IPFS hash). *** ## Deployment Topology ### Base Mainnet (chainId 8453) | Component | Address | | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **pATTN Token** | [`0xd6fB4C152CdD6a5c52eBd2eB5159D7F54c2939bc`](https://basescan.org/address/0xd6fB4C152CdD6a5c52eBd2eB5159D7F54c2939bc) | | **LedgerRouter Proxy** | [`0x8B3811D3E50d26E0D493e159b9F1F70A1a5a6f02`](https://basescan.org/address/0x8B3811D3E50d26E0D493e159b9F1F70A1a5a6f02) | | **Vault Beacon** | [`0x37ee24dc4F643E01c646939085dB74796aB79B61`](https://basescan.org/address/0x37ee24dc4F643E01c646939085dB74796aB79B61) | | **Token Beacon** | [`0x9F03C1182cb598F81bFdB12f7EFd8288673A6930`](https://basescan.org/address/0x9F03C1182cb598F81bFdB12f7EFd8288673A6930) | | **Treasury** | [`0xba9Ac7D65f5497b25322Cd7E336f6dA2Bf832A92`](https://basescan.org/address/0xba9Ac7D65f5497b25322Cd7E336f6dA2Bf832A92) | | **Admin** | [`0x25fF289bF5517ceCd001b614032ec6D880Ee755F`](https://basescan.org/address/0x25fF289bF5517ceCd001b614032ec6D880Ee755F) | ### Upgrade Path ```mermaid theme={null} graph LR subgraph "Router (UUPS)" RP["Proxy

The new 4:1 pATTN to ATTN ratio is fully balanced by 100% unlocked profits — what you earn, you can withdraw. No ranking system, no locked portions. Simpler, fairer, and built to attract more stakers and more external liquidity — which benefits everyone already in the system. *** ## The Long Version When we launched the ATTN economy, we were trying to solve something that sounds simple but isn't: how do you let people decide what matters — without a platform deciding for them? The first version established the mechanisms that make this possible — the bonding curve, the creator fee, the staking signal. A lot of it worked. But running a live economy teaches you things no whitepaper can. After watching it in action, listening carefully to the community, and being honest about what we understood better now, we evolved it. This is Economy V1.1. The bones are the same. The tuning is better. The core insight driving this iteration: **staking is a signal of belief**, not a bet against other people. The economy should be a positive-sum game — where your gain doesn't come at someone else's expense, but from the real attention and external value that flows into the system. It's an opportunity-gain model, not a zero-sum one. V1.1 is built around that principle more completely than V1.0 was. *** ## What We Learned From V1.0 V1.0 was a bold first step. It established the primitives that hold up — and still do. But three things became clearer over time. **Staking felt riskier than it needed to be.** When you staked 1,000 pATTN, only 700 backed your position. 250 went to the revenue pool, 50 to the creator. You started 30% underwater. For early adopters willing to explore, that was fine. For the broader community we want to reach, it created unnecessary friction. Staking should feel like conviction, not risk capital. **The revenue pool was internally funded.** In V1, stakers funded each other's rewards. That works in a growing system with constant new entrants. But it creates a structural dependency — someone always has to come after you for the math to work. Revenue should come from outside the system — from advertisers, licensors, and the broader attention economy — not from redistributing what stakers put in. **The math was hard to follow.** The pATTN to ATTN ratio was 1:1, but 95% of balances were locked. The withdrawal system depended on rank, constructiveness scores, and different percentages for different earning types. Technically sound. But if the community can't understand when and how they can access their own earnings, that's on us to fix. V1.1 addresses all three. Here's how. *** ## What Changed ### 1. Your Stake Is Now 99% Protected You stake 100 pATTN. 99 stays yours. 1 goes to the creator. That's it. \ The revenue pool no longer takes a cut from stakers. Staking is a signal of belief in a memory. The economics should match that. | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :---------------- | :--- | :--- | | Principal (yours) | 70% | 99% | | Revenue pool | 25% | 0% | | Creator fee | 5% | 1% | *** ### 2. Revenue Comes From Injections, Not From Other Stakers In V1.1, the revenue pool is funded by injections — value entering the system from outside. The platform regularly injects between 2.5% and 7.5% of total stakes into the memory ecosystem. As the economy grows, advertisers and licensors take over a larger share of that role, paying to associate with high-attention memories. | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :-------------------------- | :--------------------------- | :------------------ | | Revenue pool funded by | Other stakers and Injections | Only Injections | | Creator fee from injections | 5% | 10% | | Platform injection rate | 2.5%–7.5% of stakes | 2.5%–7.5% of stakes | Nobody's return depends on the next person staking. The value flows in from the attention economy itself. *** ### 3. Creators Keep Everything They Earn No monthly caps. No withdrawal limits on earnings. If your memory earned it, it's yours. \ Fully, without formulas. | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :-------------------------- | :------------- | :--------------- | | Creator fee from stakes | 5% | 1% | | Creator fee from injections | 5% | 10% | | Monthly withdrawal limit | 5% of earnings | 100% — no limits | *** ### 4. Promoters: From 10% to 30% The promoter cut — paid by the platform, not deducted from creators or stakers — grows from 10% to 30% of creator earnings. The people who grow the network should meaningfully share in what it produces. | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :--------------- | :---------------------- | :---------------------- | | Promoter cut | 10% of creator earnings | 30% of creator earnings | | Paid by | Platform | Platform | | Withdrawal limit | Rank-based cap | No cap | *** ### 5. A New pATTN to ATTN Ratio: 4:1 — and Full Transparency In V1.0, the ratio was 1:1 — but 95% of pATTN was locked. So 1,000 pATTN in your balance meant roughly 50 ATTN accessible. The number looked large. The reality was much smaller. In V1.1, the ratio is 4:1 — but 100% of earned pATTN is withdrawable. So 1,000 earned pATTN means 250 ATTN accessible. | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :----------------------------------- | :--------------- | :-------------------------- | | Conversion ratio | 1 pATTN = 1 ATTN | 4 pATTN = 1 ATTN | | Withdrawal lock | 95% locked | 0% locked (on earned pATTN) | | 1,000 earned pATTN → accessible ATTN | \~50 ATTN | 250 ATTN | The actual liquidity is better. And what you see in your balance now reflects what you can actually use. This also eliminates points inflation — a 1:1 ratio with most of the supply locked was creating system pressure that 4:1 with full earned liquidity resolves cleanly. *** ### 6. A New Off-Ramp Fee — Rewarding Long-Term Conviction We're introducing a time-based fee on redemptions. \ The longer you hold your stake, the lower your exit cost. (Off-ramp fees may be updated over time. Please stay informed through app and community updates). | Holding period | Off-ramp fee | | :------------- | :----------- | | Day 1 | 2.5% | | Day 2 | 1% | | Day 3 | 0.5% | | After that | 0.25% | All fees are reinjected directly into the top TVL memories — the memories the community has committed the most attention to. This shifts value from short-term exits toward long-term believers, and from rapid cross-staking toward genuine curation. If you're staking on something you believe in, a week is nothing. If you're cross-staking rapidly to extract short-term gains, this fee makes that less profitable. The system rewards conviction — the bonding curve does that by design, and the off-ramp fee reinforces it. *** ### 7. One Simple Withdrawal Rule Old system: rank tiers, constructiveness factors, different percentages for different earning types. New system: **If you earned it or bought it, it's yours. If you received it for free, it stays in the system.** Airdrops, registration bonuses, daily rewards — these are designed to help you participate, not to be immediately converted. Everything earned through creating, staking, or promoting is withdrawable once every 30 days. No formulas. No rank calculations. One rule. *** ## Full Comparison: V1.0 vs V1.1 | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :-------------------------- | :-------------------------------- | :--------------------------------------- | | Stake protection | 70% | 99% | | Revenue pool funded by | Other stakers (25% of each stake) | Injections (90% of each injection) | | Creator fee from stakes | 5% | 1% | | Creator fee from injections | 5% | 10% | | Creator withdrawal limit | 5% of earnings per month | 100% — no limits | | Promoter cut | 10% of creator earnings | 30% of creator earnings | | Promoter withdrawal limit | Rank-based cap | 100% — no limits | | pATTN to ATTN ratio | 1:1 (95% locked) | 4:1 (100% of earned unlocked) | | Off-ramp fee | None | 5% → 2.5% → 0.5% (time-based) | | Fee revenue destination | N/A | Reinjected into top TVL memories | | Withdrawal rule | Rank-based, multi-factor | Earned/bought = yours. It's one of the core mechanics that makes this economy work — and it's worth understanding clearly. ### The Formula ```text theme={null} P(v) = 0.10 + 0.005 × v^0.6 ``` Where: * **P(v)** is the price per belief token at a given TVL * **0.10** is the floor price — every memory starts here * **0.005** is the curve coefficient * **v** is the current TVL (principal + revenue reserves) * **0.6** is the sublinear exponent — the key to everything ### Price Behavior | TVL (pATTN) | Price per token | | :---------- | :-------------- | | 0 | 0.10 pATTN | | 1,000 | 0.42 pATTN | | 5,000 | 0.93 pATTN | | 10,000 | 1.36 pATTN | | 20,000 | 2.00 pATTN | | 30,000 | 2.53 pATTN | | 50,000 | 3.40 pATTN | | 100,000 | 5.10 pATTN | | 250,000 | 8.76 pATTN | ### What the Sublinear Exponent Means Because β = 0.6 (less than 1), price grows slower than TVL. Each new stake buys fewer tokens than the one before it. This means: * **Early stakers get more tokens per pATTN** — their ownership share is larger * **Late stakers get fewer tokens** — their ownership share is smaller * **When injections arrive, they're distributed proportionally to token ownership** — so early stakers receive more This is the opposite of how the web works. PageRank rewards content that's already authoritative. The bonding curve rewards the people who identified something important before everyone else did. It's also manipulation-resistant. Inflating a memory's value from 10,000 to 100,000 pATTN costs dramatically more than inflating it from 0 to 10,000. ### Bonding Curve Simulation: Three Stakers, One Injection Three users each stake **10,000 pATTN** into the same memory, one after another. Then a **100,000 pATTN injection** arrives. Same stake. Very different outcomes. **Token Minting** | | User 1 (first) | User 2 (second) | User 3 (third) | | :--------------------- | :------------- | :-------------- | :-------------- | | TVL range when staking | 0 → 10,000 | 10,000 → 20,000 | 20,000 → 30,000 | | Avg price per token | 0.71 pATTN | 1.67 pATTN | 2.26 pATTN | | Tokens minted | 14,155 | 5,976 | 4,420 | | Ownership share | 57.7% | 24.3% | 18.0% | All three staked the same amount. But User 1 owns nearly 3× more of the memory than User 3 — because they came in when the price was low. **Injection Distribution** 100,000 pATTN injection arrives. 90,000 pATTN goes to the revenue pool. 10,000 pATTN goes to the creator. | | User 1 | User 2 | User 3 | | :-------------- | :------------ | :------------ | :------------ | | Ownership share | 57.7% | 24.3% | 18.0% | | Injection share | 51,890 pATTN | 21,907 pATTN | 16,203 pATTN | | Principal | 9,900 pATTN | 9,900 pATTN | 9,900 pATTN | | Total position | 61,790 pATTN | 31,807 pATTN | 26,103 pATTN | | Net profit | +51,790 pATTN | +21,807 pATTN | +16,103 pATTN | Same stake. Same memory. User 1 walks away with more than double what User 3 gets — not because they took it from anyone, but because they recognized the memory's value first. This is the discovery incentive. It's what makes the system reward genuine curation over passive participation. *** ## Three Simulations: V1.0 vs V1.1 Same memory across all three roles. A protest in Milan, captured by a local creator. The memory accumulates **250,000 pATTN total TVL**. Platform injection: 7.5% of TVL = **18,750 pATTN** total. For the staker simulation, we use a mid-stage staker — someone who discovers the memory after it has already gained traction, entering at **TVL = 80,000 pATTN**. This is the realistic case for most participants: not the first in, not the last. As the chart above shows, in V1.0 this staker is already past the breakeven point. In V1.1, they're still in profit. At entry TVL of 80,000, the staker's token ownership is **3.33%** of the memory — reflecting the higher token price they paid relative to early entrants. *** ### Simulation 1: The Staker **V1.0** * Principal protected: 7,000 pATTN (70%) * Entry cost: −3,000 pATTN * Revenue pool share (3.33% of 62,500 pATTN): +2,079 pATTN * Final position: **9,079 pATTN** * Net P\&L: **−921 pATTN (−9.2%)** **V1.1** * Principal protected: 9,900 pATTN (99%) * Entry cost: −100 pATTN * Injection revenue share (3.33% of 16,875 pATTN): +562 pATTN * Final position: **10,462 pATTN** * Net P\&L: **+462 pATTN (+4.6%)** | | V1 | V1.1 | | :------------------ | :--------------------------- | :--------------------- | | Principal protected | 7,000 pATTN | 9,900 pATTN | | Entry cost | −3,000 pATTN | −100 pATTN | | Revenue source | Other stakers and injections | External injections | | Staker ownership | 3.33% | 3.33% | | Revenue returned | 2,079 pATTN | 562 pATTN | | Final position | 9,079 pATTN | 10,409 pATTN | | Net P\&L | **−921 pATTN (−9.2%)** | **+409 pATTN (+4.1%)** | Screenshot 2026 03 20 At 14 21 51 \ \ In V1.0, a mid-stage staker on a memory that reached 250,000 TVL still loses money. Their revenue share is too small to recover the 30% entry cost — because by the time they staked, too many tokens had already been minted ahead of them. In V1.1, the same staker is in profit. The entry cost is 1%, and the revenue comes from outside. Under V1.0 mechanics, approximately **84% of all stakers exit at a loss** — only those who entered in the first 16% of TVL growth break even. V1.1 inverts that: every staker profits, regardless of when they joined. *** ### Simulation 2: The Creator **V1.0** * From stakes (5% of 250,000): 12,500 pATTN * From injections (5% of 18,750): 938 pATTN * Total earned: **13,438 pATTN** * Withdrawable this month (5% cap): **672 pATTN = 672 ATTN** **V1.1** * From stakes (1% of 250,000): 2,500 pATTN * From injections (10% of 18,750): 1,875 pATTN * Total earned: **4,375 pATTN — all withdrawable immediately** * Withdrawable ATTN (4:1): **1,094 ATTN** | | V1.0 | V1.1 | | :--------------------------- | :----------- | :------------- | | From stakes | 12,500 pATTN | 2,500 pATTN | | From injections | 938 pATTN | 1,875 pATTN | | Total earned | 13,438 pATTN | 4,375 pATTN | | Withdrawable ATTN this month | 672 ATTN | **1,094 ATTN** | Lower gross pATTN. More real ATTN. Nothing locked. *** ### Simulation 3: The Promoter Marco brought Sarah (the creator above) to the platform. The promoter cut is paid by the platform — not deducted from creators or stakers. **V1.0** * Sarah earned 13,438 pATTN * Marco earns 10% = **1,344 pATTN** * Rank-based withdrawal (\~5%): \*\*\~67 pATTN \*\* * Locked: \~1,277 pATTN **V1.1** * Sarah earned 4,375 pATTN * Marco earns 30% = **1,312 pATTN — all withdrawable immediately** | | V1 | V1.1 | | :---------------- | :------------ | :----------- | | Promoter cut | 10% | 30% | | Promoter earned | 1,344 pATTN | 1,312 pATTN | | Withdrawable ATTN | \~67 ATTN | **328 ATTN** | | Locked | \~1,277 pATTN | 0 | Nearly identical gross earnings. Nearly 5× more accessible ATTN. Zero locked. *** ## Does It Pay to Stake Later? Short answer: yes —\*\* just less than staking early\*\*. The chart below shows staker profit as a function of entry TVL, for a 10,000 pATTN stake in a memory that reaches 250,000 TVL with 7.5% platform injections. | Entry TVL | Ownership | Profit (pATTN) | Withdrawable ATTN | | :-------- | :-------- | :------------- | :---------------- | | 0 | 21.74% | +3,568 | 3,375 | | 5,000 | 11.81% | +1,894 | 2,959 | | 10,000 | 9.21% | +1,454 | 2,849 | | 20,000 | 6.81% | +1,049 | 2,749 | | 30,000 | 5.59% | +844 | 2,698 | | 50,000 | 4.29% | +625 | 2,643 | | 75,000 | 3.45% | +482 | 2,607 | | 100,000 | 2.94% | +396 | 2,586 | | 150,000 | 2.33% | +294 | 2,561 | | 200,000 | 1.98% | +234 | 2,546 | | 240,000 | 1.78% | +200 | 2,537 | Every entry point is profitable. The earlier you stake, the more you earn — because you get more tokens per pATTN, and more tokens means a larger share of every injection. But even staking at 240,000 TVL on a memory heading to 250,000 still returns a profit. The system rewards discovery. It doesn't punish latecomers. *** ## The Pattern Across All Three In every case, gross pATTN numbers are lower in V1.1. That's intentional — and it's honest. The large numbers in V1.0 were mostly locked, mostly dependent on new entrants, and subject to formulas that were hard to follow. V1.1 is smaller numbers that mean something. The staker is in profit without taking from anyone. The creator accesses more real ATTN. The promoter gets nearly 5× more accessible ATTN despite a lower gross number. This is what a positive-sum game looks like in practice. Not everyone winning on paper. Everyone winning on what they can actually use. *** ## Why We Did This We're not building a trading platform. \ We're building infrastructure for how attention and memory get valued in the world. V1.0 asked stakers to take on real risk to signal belief. V1.1 brings that risk down to near zero while keeping the signal meaningful — because the off-ramp fee and the bonding curve still reward long-term conviction over short-term extraction. The direction is clear: an economy where participating feels like an opportunity, not a gamble. Where the value of staking early on something that matters is the upside you gain — not the money you take from whoever comes next. We'll keep evolving. This is V1.1, not the final version. But the foundation is now closer to what we always intended it to be. **Economy V1.1 goes live on March 23rd.** *** *Jonathan*, Patrick and Matteo,\ Co-founders, *Collective Memory* # Economy 1.1 - An Intro Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/economy-1-1-intro \ **Dear Community,** In the last 6 months, Collective Memory grew 10X globally and became a real force in next-gen information and social. The reality graph is genuine and holds evidence of both heaven and hell: [parties](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/PJobI4kKtuXR0KUcGtQRVzx5Zlm1), [love](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/RqYXQwzbe1POWRBu5jM7yXk41Xm2), [fashion](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/j1hmuxqijdbKIAsiGjY0KJq2mpF2), [art](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/XOrPa0XK02PGdPcNJDjurzJqEJc2), [protests](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/CjWxqI5aLEVN9IogCvabGnYQuUf2?tab=memories), [war zones](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/ctEHrNCN0SUGTyQg7NVUPAPSI0J3?tab=memories). We're now seeing 50,000 memories a day, and about to reach 6 million total. That's remarkable. And that's because of you. As I've said before - we're building something unique. Something that can genuinely make the world more empathic. Not by being naive. By being pragmatic, smart, and productive. \ The bones of Collective Memory are solid; **The Memory** — A new information building block that holds both content and value. [The third paradigm of information](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/memory-as-the-third-paradigm-of-information), succeeding files and web pages. File → Webpage → Memory. **ATTN** — A scarce resource that lets people signal what matters. An economic rail with mutual incentives for all players. It combines human attention and economic value - not the dopamine driven eyeball economy, but actual human attention and trust. Long-term, not short-term. **Reality Mapping** — Genuine content. No filters. A long chain of evidence that lets people get a grip on reality again. The antidote to AI slop. We're seeing something new emerge from this: an economy that rewards talent and productivity. Not capitalism. Not socialism. Something else. Joint effort, merit-based. A positive-sum game - not a betting table where your win is someone else's loss. The outside world is paying attention. The content itself is becoming more unique and valuable: front row at Paris Fashion Week, NY protests, exclusive boots-on-the-ground footage from Iran - evidence no one else has. This economy creates a new kind of work. Being a reality mapper. A decent, intelligent way to make a living - by being curious, by being smart, by signaling what matters. By being human. That's significant in a world where AI is taking over more and more of the jobs we currently know. We know we have something big. The potential is real. But the work is far from done - Collective Memory is still in its infancy, still in the early adopter stage. That's important to understand. Our system is still evolving, and we need to keep that flexibility to improve fast. We hear great things from the community - people telling us it's changed their lives: some feel more alive, some use it as social therapy, some are making money that helps pay the rent. But we also hear anxiety: about the complexity of the economy, about the changes, about the ranks. So we want to address that directly - explain what's core and what should be expected to change and evolve. Setting expectations helps all of us. *** ## Core 1. **The three motivations: Creating, Staking, Promoting.** These are the user goals. Every change we make optimizes for them. As long as you're genuinely acting on one - or all three - you'll grow in the system. 2. **Withdrawn ATTN.** Convert it once a month from your pATTN - and it won't be reduced, modified, or touched. Ever. That's your monthly gain to keep. pATTN is different. It's our dynamic points system - we need that flexibility while the economy is still developing. 3. **The memory bonding curve.** The core concept - getting a larger share of the revenue pool by staking early - is here to stay. Everything else we optimize around it. 4. **External injections.** The system is designed to continuously attract value from the outside - advertisers, investors, platform rewards. This is what makes it a positive-sum game. That mechanism is here to stay. 5. **ATTN → USDC / ETH.** We're committed to maintaining enough liquidity in the pools to make this work. *** ## Evolving 1. **pATTN to ATTN ratio.** We'll experiment with different ratios over time. Don't get too attached to the numbers in your pATTN balance - they will change. This is important to understand: pATTN are points, not tokens. They are a relative measurement system - they show your standing and contribution compared to others, not an absolute withdrawable amount. They carry no guaranteed value, and the amounts displayed in the app are not a promise of future withdrawable ATTN. What we can guarantee is that the ATTN you withdraw each month is yours permanently. 2. **The stake split.** The current split sends 25% to the revenue pool plus 5% to the creator - meaning late joiners start 30% underwater before they've done anything. That's not sustainable and we're fixing it. 3. **Withdrawal limits.** Currently 5% of earned pATTN converts to ATTN each month. We want that number much higher. The gap between what you see in your points balance and what you can actually withdraw is not healthy - we want everything transparent and clear. The direction is simple: more liquid, less locked. Until eventually all earnings are fully liquid and the decision of what to do with them is entirely yours. 4. **Injection amounts.** These will increase as the economy grows and attracts more external value. 5. **Fees.** We'll be introducing small fees to discourage rapid [cross-staking](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/user-behavior-policy-dos-don-ts-and-best-practices#what-is-cross-staking-and-why-is-it-harmful-to-the-ecosystem). Long-term staking on things you genuinely believe in will be more profitable than gaming the system - that's the behavior we want to reward. The fees will be reinjected back into memories, adding value for everyone. *** ## What we're optimizing for 1. **Long-term value** — Growing the [reality graph](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/the-reality-graph) with memories that matter. Quality, diversity, and volume - until it becomes the standard reference for how news outlets, consumers, and AI models understand what's happening in the world. 2. **Substantial profits for players who add real value** — how do we measure real value? That's exactly what the ATTN economy is for. The economy is not just the rails - it's the measurement system. 3. **Making external capital attractive to bring in for staking** — competitive with other real-world investment vehicles and assets. 4. **Making bad actors increasingly costly to sustain** — the most effective deterrent, better than specific punishments. 5. **Long-term growth of the ATTN economy** — liquidity and volume of the ATTN token. *** Understanding the big picture - the shared motivations - is essential. It explains why we make changes, and why we'll keep making them. Collective Memory is evolving fast, and you are early adopters of something genuinely new. If instability causes anxiety, it's okay to wait and join when things are more settled. No hard feelings. Tomorrow we'll share the updated parameters for Economy V1.1, our first major iteration. We've analyzed the changes carefully. We expect these changes to improve the value we're creating, and therefore the returns for all of us - while raising the cost for those who don't contribute. Stay tuned. **Jonathan** \ CEO, Co-founder, \ Collective Memory # ATTN Token: Attention Becomes Currency Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/attention-as-currency By nature, importance is created when people focus on something together. Online, big corporations interfere with that flow, building walls that decide what should matter and what should not. ATTN is modeled to restore that natural order. It turns attention into a tradable asset, so you can invest your attention in what matters to you. When you hold and stake ATTN, you are holding a piece of the world’s collective focus. As stories and ideas attract more attention, their value inside the system grows. **What makes ATTN different?** Every post on the platform is a **Memory** - raw, time-stamped, geo-anchored, and immutable. It might be a DJ set in Berlin, frontline footage from Gaza, or anything in between. When you stake ATTN in a Memory, you’re not liking it. You’re backing it. * The more ATTN a Memory gets, the more visible it becomes. * You earn a cut of its future growth. * The creator gets a fee instantly. It’s a simple but radical shift: *attention becomes value*. ### **Why hold ATTN?** ATTN is the backbone of a living economy. * **It has real demand.** Creators earn in ATTN. Advertisers inject ATTN to reach the exact audiences inside live cultural moments. Even AI systems license Collective Memory’s “Reality Graph”, a dataset of verified human experience, and they pay in ATTN to do it. * **It scales with culture.** Over 1.6 million Memories have already been posted, from protests to recipes to underground parties. Every one of them proves this isn’t theory. It’s already alive. * **It’s capped.** Only 1 billion ATTN tokens will ever exist. As more creators, curators, advertisers, and AI systems plug into Collective Memory, demand for ATTN rises — but supply does not. Growth of the network means growth of the token’s value. There will only ever be one billion ATTN tokens. Every post, stake, and ad on Collective Memory requires them. As the system grows, demand rises, supply stays fixed, and value compounds into the token. ATTN is for people who see the long game — intellectuals who understand that attention has always been the foundation of culture, and now it’s finally captured as an asset. Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/bonus Throughout December, you can withdraw additional ATTN - not only based on your rank, but also on your individual performance in creating, investing, and bringing in new users. Happy holidays! 🙂 We’re happy to share that during December, you’ll be able to withdraw more ATTN. Your bonus is calculated based on your activity across the three core motivations of Collective Memory: creating quality memories, investing early in attention-worthy memories, and inviting new users to the platform. If the total of your bonuses exceeds your rank’s standard withdrawal maximum, you’ll be able to withdraw the higher amount.

Many users will now qualify for increased withdrawals.
You can check your bonuses at [https://www.collectivememory.ai/bonus](https://www.collectivememory.ai/bonus), just search for your nickname.

*Tip: Even at lower tiers, strong bonuses can unlock significantly higher withdrawal limits.* **How do we calculate your bonus?**
Each user receives a personal bonus that increases their rank-based withdrawal limit. The bonus consists of three parts, each calculated based on your gains from the past 30 days: * **Creator Bonus:** 5% of your earnings as a creator, based on all creator revenues you have withdrawn. * **Staker Bonus:** 5% of your earnings as an investor, based on all profitable staker redemptions. * **Affiliate Bonus:** 20% of the bonuses earned from the ATTN generated by all the users you referred. **Here are some examples:** [**David**](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/kLZV9HSbsaZbUJBFhkF31sNIq6z1) is in the ‘Solid Mapper’ tier - Normally, he would withdraw 10,000 ATTN this month. Because he onboards many interesting users, he can withdraw 56,893 ATTN this month.  David Bonus Pn [**Twanpitel**](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/0tDyI8EJDVWmabCPuEde9NEvMDo2) is also a Solid Mapper. Normally, he would withdraw 10,000 ATTN this month. Because he stakes on  good content and onboards interesting users, he can withdraw 40,783 ATTN this month!  Twan Bonus Pn [**Jerome**](https://www.collectivememory.ai/user/xo8W3jNQ1hcMAPu2BXVobyddIDX2) is a Top Mapper. Normally, he would withdraw 50,000 ATTN this month. Because he creates great content, stakes in great content, and brings great users, he can withdraw 77,042 ATTN this month!  Jerome Bonus Pn

Happy holidays!!!
Collective Memory # How to Cash Out  Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/cash-out ATTN can be converted to USDC anytime. Converting your USDC to cash in your bank or credit/debit card involves 3rd party providers. In this article we’ll cover all you need to know about the whole process end to end. Please note: if you have zero crypto experience (“normie”) this might seem complex, but once you’ll do it for the first time - it becomes quick and easy. The main challenge is to pick a solution that suits your region, but that’s a thing with any crypto. *** **Cashing out from Collective Memory happens in four steps:** 1. Find the proper way to cash out USDC in your region - a bit tricky only the first time, and we're here to help. 2. Convert your ATTN into USDC inside your wallet - easy. 3. Send your USDC to the solution you found (Transak, Base and others) and cash-out - easy. ### Step 1 - Find the proper way to cash-out \ **Europe** | **Country** | **Currency** | **Providers / Payment Methods** | | :-------------------------------------------------------------------- | :----------- | :---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain | EUR | Transak (Visa, Mastercard, SEPA) Coinbase (SEPA)

Your balance will now show in USDC. *Note: You may need a small amount of Base ETH for gas fees (around \$2 covers many transfers) We initially provide you with the gas fees to complete swaps.* ### ### Step 3 - Transfer your USDC to an external wallet or exchange & cash out. Once you hold USDC, send it to exchanges or fiat gateways that support your region. From this point, the process is handled by third-party providers.\ \ Log in (again, if needed) at [**collectivememory.ai**](http://collectivememory.ai) 2. Go to **Wallet** → select **Transfer** 3. Enter the wallet address you got from the solution you found in Step 2 4. Enter the amount of USDC you would like to send. 5. Click "Send" and wait for the transaction to complete Now go back to the solution you found, and continue with their instructions on how to cash out the USDC you just transferred. \ \ \ **Important** Collective Memory only supports the **ATTN → USDC** conversion. Off-ramping to your local currency is managed by external providers. Always test first with a small transfer (\$10–15). *** ### **Coming Soon** You’ll soon be able to send USDC directly to off-ramp providers from inside the **Collective Memory app**, simplifying the entire process. *** ### **Final Note** While cashing out is available, we recommend holding ATTN. The more the system grows, the more value concentrates in the token. This game is long term — those who hold are best positioned to benefit from the expansion of Collective Memory. # Create Videos from Your Memories Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/create-videos-from-your-memories Collective Memory is a space built around real-world events. Here, you can capture and verify what is happening to you and around you, share what you witness, and receive feedback from other users. Now you can turn your Memories into video collages, save them to your phone, send them to friends, or share them on social media helping your stories reach even more people. ### **How to Create a Video** 1. Open the app and go to the **My** tab. 2. Select **Events**. Here, your Memories are organized into events. You can browse them by timeline, ATTN, number of Memories, or sort them from the earliest to the latest. 3. Open the **Timeline** tab, find the event or date you want to use, and tap the camera icon on the right. 4. On the **Create Video** screen, choose which Memories you want to include. Tap individual Memories to select or deselect them. Use **All** to select everything available or **None** to clear your selection. 5. Tap **Generate**. The button will show how many Memories will be included in your video. 6. Choose the pace of your video: * **Fast** - quick, flash-style cuts. We recommend this option when your video includes many Memories. * **Slow** - each Memory appears for approximately two seconds. This option works best for smaller collections that you want viewers to explore in more detail. 7. Wait while the app fetches your Memories from the cloud, analyzes them, and creates your video. Fetching usually takes between 30 and 90 seconds, and the remaining stages are completed automatically. 8. Once your video is ready, preview it and choose what you would like to do: * **Share** - share your video immediately; * **Save** - download it to your phone; * **Done** - finish and close the video creator. When sharing your video on social media, remember to tag **Collective Memory** - we may share your story too! # How ATTN Price Works; Understanding liquidity and pools. Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/liquidity ATTN powers the Collective Memory ecosystem. Its price isn’t set by hidden factors - it’s determined automatically by the liquidity in ATTN pools. When users, investors, licensors, or advertisers buy ATTN to use within the platform, they add liquidity, and the price rises. In other words, ATTN’s price reflects the value created in Collective Memory: the memories, the usage, and the attention they generate. ## **What are liquidity pools?** A liquidity pool is a shared reserve of tokens that allows people to trade instantly. The pool already holds both sides of the trade (for example, ATTN and USDC) so users can swap one token for another at any time. ## **How the Pools Shape Price** ATTN trades in two main Uniswap pools: ATTN–USDC and ATTN–ETH. Together they hold 10% of the entire supply, locked across defined price ranges. Within those ranges, the pools adjust price based on the balance of assets inside them.  Example: When someone buys ATTN, they put USDC into the pool and get ATTN in exchange. As the pool holds less ATTN at the current price, it automatically goes up to the next price level. If someone sells ATTN, the opposite happens and the price adjusts downward. Because liquidity in these pools is locked for years, the pricing behavior remains consistent and free from intervention. ## **Your ATTN are worth more as more liquidity is added:** liquidity_pool.png ## **Where Demand Comes From** ATTN demand comes from actual activity in the ecosystem: 1. **Advertisers** buy ATTN to boost Memories and reach precise audiences.  2. **AI companies** will use ATTN to license Collective Memory’s dataset.  3. **Users** buy ATTN to stake in Memories and participate more deeply. 4. **Crypto traders** add liquidity and volume by trading ATTN like any other token. Most of this demand comes from utility, not speculation. > ## It’s simple: > > ## More meaningful Memories → More user attention → More value for investors, advertisers, and AI data consumers → They buy ATTN to participate → ATTN rises → Creators and Stakers earn more → the flywheel spins. ## ## **Keeping the Community Informed** Whenever someone adds a significant amount of liquidity - usually by making a large ATTN purchase - the community is notified. This helps everyone stay aware of major shifts in liquidity and reflects real interest from new participants. These updates are informational and neutral, not promotional. standard liquidity notification.png ## Why Growing Collective Memory Helps Price The more attention the platform attracts, the more valuable ATTN becomes. More users add more Memories. More Memories lead to more staking and more creator activity. That, in turn, attracts advertisers and AI partners - both of whom must buy ATTN to participate. Their buying adds liquidity to the pools, naturally pushing the price upward. This isn’t a pump cycle. It’s a usage cycle. The healthier the platform becomes, the more demand flows into ATTN. ## A Long-Term, Transparent System ATTN is built for long-term participation. As more Memories are posted, more ATTN is staked, more advertisers join, and more AI licensing occurs, the market continuously adjusts the token’s price based on real demand. > ## There are no shortcuts or artificial mechanisms. ATTN’s price simply reflects the growth and activity of the ecosystem around it. ## **Clear roadmap - we just need to execute - together.** Our goals are simple: to make Collective Memory the most interesting, up-to-date platform for global awareness, capturing everything happening around the world, genuine and verified. We believe this data asset will become one of the most valuable information sources for both humans and AI. As we continue adding value through usage and high-quality information, investors, advertisers, and licensors will join - because they’ll need to. Together, by creating more attention-worthy Memories, staking ATTN on what matters, spreading the word, and bringing in more users, we’ll drive more value into the system. At **\$50K liquidity**, ATTN is worth \~**\$0.01**\ At **\$100K liquidity**, ATTN is worth \~**\$0.0125**\ At **\$0.5M liquidity**, ATTN is worth \~**\$0.025**\ At **\$1M liquidity**, ATTN is worth \~**\$0.05** (that’s **5×** the starting point!)\ At **\$100M**, ATTN = **\$1** (estimated)\ At **\$1B**, ATTN= **\$10** (estimated) How much will the ATTN you hold be worth at each milestone?\ **Let’s make it happen.** # Staking ATTN in a Memory - Explained. Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/staking-attn Staking on Collective Memory means investing your ATTN (Attention Tokens) into a Memory. When you stake, you are both aiming to earn rewards and pushing that Memory higher in visibility so more people see it. This post walks you through the basics of ATTN, why people stake, how Memories grow in value, and how to get started. ## What is ATTN? ATTN (Attention) is the digital currency of Collective Memory. * You earn it when people stake in your Memories. * You can stake it in other posts to grow your balance. * You can also buy ATTN on our website, and cash out \ by swapping ATTN → USDC → your bank or card. ## Why do people stake? * To give exposure: the more ATTN in a Memory, the more visible it becomes. Current and trending Memories live in the Hot feed. * To make money: if a Memory gains traction, your stake can grow with it. * To reward creators: a share of every stake goes straight to the creator. ## How do Memories increase in value? * More people join in: every new stake adds ATTN to the Memory’s revenue pot, which is shared proportionally among all stakers. * Revenue injections: brands or sponsors can inject ATTN into a Memory to boost its reach (for example via bots like Rev-Bot). That ATTN flows to Revenue and to the creator. ## Why should you stake too? * Grow your ATTN by spotting and staking in strong Memories before they blow up. * Shape the feed. Staking is how you decide what the world sees. * Give ATTN, get attention. Creators can see who stakes in them, which helps you build relationships across the network. ## Tips to get started * Turn notifications on. You will see when you get ATTN, when important events break, and when new challenges drop. * Hunt the New feed. Catch good content early; the earlier you join, the more chance to profit. * Ride the wave. When you notice a trend forming, double down on related content. Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/tiered-withdrawals Today, we’re releasing a new way to withdraw. This release note describes all changes and features added. ### **Context** We are building a decentralized network based on attention and trust. Like in human memory, attention flows to what matters - and when it accumulates, that memory becomes important. Anyone can add content to Collective Memory, but the supply of attention (ATTN tokens) is fixed. As the network grows and more people use ATTN, it becomes scarcer and more valuable.\ \ When we hold and use attention, we strengthen the system. Over time, its price can rise significantly. ATTN is a long term investment - you’re holding an asset that can fund big goals: a home, a degree, or a trip around the world. The latest update reflects these values. It ensures more users can earn and benefit from ATTN.  ### **The new ATTN Withdrawal system is reliable, predictable, and fair.** Attention flows to the important information. It should also flow to the important people: The ones who create and invest, the ones who believe in Collective Memory and represent us out in the open world. This update introduces user tiers: Contribute more, earn more ATTN. Vector (2) 1 (1).png Higher tiers can withdraw more ATTN each month. To go up the tiers: * Create attention worthy memories.  * Stake in memories you think matter. * Add great people to the platform * Be consistent. Daily Activity helps you climb the tiers. Because withdrawals are in ATTN, growing the token’s value has a huge impact -  your withdrawals are worth more. ### Collective Memory tiers:  **Elite** **Mapper**: Top 20 users. 50K ATTN monthly withdrawals. Currently worth  >\$500.\ **Pro** **Mapper**: Top 50 users. 20K ATTN monthly withdrawals. Currently worth  >\$200.\ **Top** **Mapper**: Top 100 users. 10K ATTN monthly withdrawals. Currently worth  >\$100.\ **Solid** **Mapper**: Top 500 users. 1000 ATTN monthly withdrawals. Currently worth  >\$10.\ **Everyone** **else**: Top 1000 users: 500 ATTN monthly withdrawals. Currently worth  >\$5. The tier system ensures that dedication and long-term support of the project is rewarded, as more people around the world enjoy Collective Memory. As we grow, More users will be included in each tier, ensuring a fair way for users to participate and benefit from the network. The new ‘Top’ feed lets you see the top contributors to Collective Memory. The feed contains 500 top users, and will expand as the network grows. Also, ‘Favorites’ lets you see your favorite users’ content in one place. Component 1 (2).png ### What happens when you hold ATTN long term? In simple terms, the price of ATTN increases when liquidity is added to the token. When users, brands, and bots buy attention to spend in Collective Memory, liquidity increases. Today, in the infancy of Collective Memory, the Token has \$50K in liquidity. This has led to 9% appreciation since we launched. In our rapidly growing system, new entities are buying ATTN with dollars every day. \ \ What happens if ATTN has \$1 million in liquidity?\ Let’s simulate; If you’re:\ An Elite Mapper, your 50K monthly ATTN is worth \$30,000. That’s \$360,000 a year. \ A Pro Mapper, your 20K monthly ATTN is worth \$12,000. That’s \$144,000 a year. \ A Top Mapper, your 10K monthly ATTN is worth \$6,000. That’s \$72,000 a year. \ A Solid Mapper, your 1K monthly ATTN is worth \$600. That’s \$7,200 a year.\ A Top 1000 Mapper, your 500 monthly ATTN is worth \$300. That’s \$3,600 a year. This may sound far - but it’s not. You’re already holding ATTN tokens. When you understand the importance of ATTN, holding it long term becomes a no-brainer: Your dedication and support of the system can grow to heights you’ve never imagined. If the token reaches \$1, even Top 1000 mappers will have accumulated attention worth more than \$60,000. This can become reality if we work together. When Collective Memory skyrockets - you will too. If you’d like a deep dive into the ATTN token, read our [tokenomics paper.](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/attn-token) \ You can follow the Token’s value on [Coingecko,](https://www.geckoterminal.com/base/pools/0xf90bd5415e8c812cb9a2015598193dcb11833d7c) and soon on other Crypto exchanges. ### **⚠️ Disclaimer** ATTN is a publicly traded token whose price depends on market liquidity and community participation. Like any asset, its value can go up or down - and in extreme cases, it could even fall to zero. There are no guarantees of financial gain. The goal of the ecosystem is to reward contribution and collective growth, not speculation.\ Always make your own informed decisions, participate responsibly, and remember:\ The real value of ATTN lies in the creativity and collaboration it enables. # Investor Commitment Tiers Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/investors-commitment-tiers *** ### **What this is** A reinvestment mechanism designed for investors who withdraw significant amounts of ATTN each cycle. This is **not a fee**. Every dollar you commit is returned to you as pATTN. You keep the token-points. You keep access to higher limits. *** ### **Creator and promoter earnings are unaffected** This system does **not** apply to creators or promoters. If you created a memory and it generated earnings — that is fully yours.\ No tiers. No caps. No commitments. The same applies to promoter rewards. \ This framework applies **only to investor withdrawals**. *** ### **Why investors need to commit** In any system built with others — a company, a protocol, an economy — capital participants and contributors play different roles. Both are essential. But capital requires alignment. Investors who consistently extract value — particularly those compounding **internally generated ATTN rather than deploying external capital** — operate in a fundamentally different position. Without alignment, that dynamic becomes unsustainable. In any healthy early-stage system, the investors who perform best are the ones who stay committed: * They don’t exit at the first profit * They reinvest * They maintain exposure as the system grows Not out of generosity — but because that’s how meaningful value is built. CM works the same way. The ecosystem remains strong when capital circulates.\ When large amounts are withdrawn — especially without new external capital entering — the foundation weakens for everyone, including the investor extracting value. Commitment tiers formalize a simple principle: > If you are withdrawing at scale — especially without bringing in outside capital — you are expected to stay committed at scale. The pATTN you receive remains yours.\ You are not losing capital.\ You are converting withdrawals into a deeper, long-term position. *** ### **How it works** Every investor can withdraw up to **25,000 ATTN per cycle** with zero commitment. Beyond that, you select a tier: | **Investor Tier** | **Monthly Commitment** | **You Receive** | **Withdrawal Limit** | **Max Stake Limit** | | :---------------- | :--------------------- | :----------------------- | :-------------------- | :------------------ | | **BASE** | \$0 | None | 25K ATTN (\~\$275) | 5K pATTN | | **A** | \$250 / month | \$250 in pATTN / month | 50K ATTN (\~\$550) | 10K pATTN | | **AA** | \$500 / month | \$500 in pATTN / month | 100K ATTN (\~\$1,100) | 15K pATTN | | **AAA** | \$1,000 / month | \$1,000 in pATTN / month | 200K ATTN (\~\$2,200) | 20K pATTN | | **PRO** | \$5,000 / month | \$5,000 in pATTN / month | Unlimited | 25K pATTN | *** ### **The logic** Systems only scale when participants remain aligned during growth. This is not a policy.\ It is a structural reality. *** ### **Tools for pro stakers** Higher tiers unlock higher stake limits per position — 10K, 20K, instead of the base 5K. In a system where: * Principal is protected * Returns are driven by real external value A higher stake ceiling simply means you can allocate more capital into high-conviction positions. Over time, the difference between 5K and 20K per position becomes substantial. This is the real advantage. *** ### **How to access Pro Investor tiers** By May 4th, a dedicated landing page will be available where you can purchase pATTN packs via credit card, making you eligible for your target tier. You can also qualify immediately within the app: * Convert ATTN → pATTN in the required amount * Use existing ATTN if you already hold it * Or swap: USDC → ATTN → pATTN (fully in-app) - Please see more information in this article - [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn) For assistance, contact: [**support@collectivemmeory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivemmeory.ai)\ Subject line: *“Pro investor inquiry”* *** ### **To summarize** Commitment tiers are not a cost — they are a mechanism for alignment. If you are withdrawing at scale, you are expected to remain committed at scale —\ **especially if your returns are driven by internally generated capital rather than external investment.** You are not losing capital.\ You are converting it into pATTN, maintaining your position, and unlocking higher ceilings. The investors who benefit most from CM are not the ones who extract early —\ they are the ones who stay aligned, continue committing capital, and build meaningful positions as the system grows.\\ # Pro Investor Tiers - Available Now Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/investors-packages ## Overview Investor Benefits Packages are designed to enhance staking capacity, increase withdrawal limits, and provide pATTN rewards. The filesystem (1960s–) organizes files in hierarchical directories, linked by paths, with relevance determined by the user's own schema. The web (1990s–) organizes pages in a flat network, linked by hyperlinks, with relevance determined by external appraisal (PageRank, algorithmic curation). We propose that a third paradigm — collective memory — is emergent: information organized as memories, geotemporally grounded media artifacts linked by value bonds (economic stakes) and semantic similarities (vector embeddings), with relevance determined by intrinsic valuation through attention markets and AI-augmented retrieval. Unlike the web, where value is assigned externally by platform algorithms, the memory paradigm embeds value directly into the content layer through a bonding-curve staking mechanism. We argue this architecture is structurally more resistant to manipulation, eliminates the need for a trusted centralized appraiser, and — through per-query attention augmentation — enables genuine epistemic pluralism over a shared dataset. We ground these claims in Wittgenstein's account of meaning-as-use and Nietzsche's perspectivism, and situate them within the longer tradition of decentralized information architecture running from Vannevar Bush's memex through Ted Nelson's Xanadu. We conclude by addressing unresolved tensions: plutocratic bias, cold-start problems, temporal decay, and the political economy of attention commodification. **Keywords:** information architecture, attention economy, collective memory, decentralized curation, bonding curves, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation, epistemic pluralism, perspectivism, Wittgenstein *** ## 1. Introduction Every era of computing has been defined not by its hardware but by how it answers three foundational questions about information: * **What is the unit?** What constitutes a single, addressable piece of information? * **What connects units?** How are individual pieces related to one another? * **Who decides what matters?** How is relevance determined, and by whom? The answers to these questions define the epistemic character of an information system — what can be known, by whom, and under what conditions. They are not merely technical specifications. They are, in a precise sense, decisions about the nature of knowledge: what counts as a fact, what counts as a connection, and what counts as importance. We argue that computing has passed through two paradigms and is entering a third. The filesystem, formalized in Multics and Unix in the 1960s and 1970s, established the first answers: the unit is a file, files are connected by hierarchical paths, and relevance is determined by the user's own organizational schema. The web, proposed by Berners-Lee in 1989 and realized through HTTP and HTML, established the second: the unit is a page, pages are connected by hyperlinks, and relevance is determined by external appraisal — most consequentially, by Google's PageRank algorithm and its successors. We propose that a third paradigm is now emerging, one in which the unit is a memory: a geotemporally grounded, media-rich artifact. Memories are connected not by hierarchical containment or authorial hyperlinks, but by two novel mechanisms operating simultaneously — economic bonds (financial stakes) and semantic bonds (vector embeddings). Relevance is determined not by an external algorithm but by the aggregate economic commitment of the community, encoded directly within the content itself. This paper does three things. First, it characterizes the three paradigms in detail, identifying the structural properties that distinguish each and explaining why the transition from web to memory represents a genuine paradigm shift rather than an incremental improvement. Second, it develops the philosophical case for the memory paradigm, drawing on Wittgenstein's account of meaning and Nietzsche's perspectivism to argue that the memory architecture is the first information system that takes both seriously as engineering constraints. Third, it identifies the unresolved problems and open questions that the memory paradigm inherits and introduces. We note at the outset that this paper is not simply an academic exercise. It describes an architecture currently being implemented in the Collective Memory system, and one of its authors is the system's designer. We have attempted to distinguish carefully between empirical claims about how the system works, theoretical claims about the significance of that architecture, and normative claims about why it matters. Readers should weigh the last category with appropriate skepticism. *** ## 2. Three Paradigms of Information Organization ### 2.1 Before the Paradigms: The Memex and Its Unrealized Promise The intellectual prehistory of information architecture begins not with filesystems but with Vannevar Bush's 1945 essay "As We May Think," in which he proposed the memex: a hypothetical device in which an individual stores all their books, records, and communications, accessible with exceeding speed and flexibility. The memex was to be organized not hierarchically but through associative trails — links between documents that mimicked the associative leaps of human cognition. Bush's vision anticipated both the web's linking mechanism and the memory paradigm's emphasis on personal, grounded information artifacts. What neither Bush nor the web ultimately realized was the coupling of value to content — the idea that an artifact might carry within itself a signal of its importance to a community. This is the specific contribution of the memory paradigm. Ted Nelson's Xanadu project (1960–) pushed further, proposing bidirectional links, transclusion, and micropayment systems. The micropayment element — the idea that reading content should entail an economic transaction with its creator — is structurally adjacent to the bonding-curve staking of the memory paradigm, though the mechanisms differ fundamentally. Nelson's vision remained largely unrealized; we argue that the technical conditions for realizing something like it now exist. ### 2.2 The Filesystem: Sovereignty and Enclosure The filesystem, formalized in Multics (1965) and Unix (1971), introduced the foundational computational metaphor: information is a file, files live in directories, and directories nest hierarchically. The path `/home/user/photos/berlin/2024/protest.jpg` is both an address and a description — it encodes the owner, the subject, the approximate time, and the kind of content. The filesystem is, in this sense, a theory of categories made operational. Relevance in a filesystem is determined by the user's own organizational schema. There is no external authority on what matters. Search is local: grep, find, filename matching. The filesystem is epistemically sovereign — each user's directory structure is a private ontology, a personal theory of what categories exist and how they relate. This sovereignty is both the paradigm's strength and its fundamental limitation. The limitation is structural: no file knows about any other file unless someone explicitly creates that knowledge. A photograph of a civil rights demonstration in one archive has no connection to a photograph of the same event in another. There is no shared semantic layer. Knowledge is not merely private — it is, in a precise sense, imprisoned in the ontology of whoever created the directory structure. The philosophical model implicit in the filesystem is what Wittgenstein called the private language of the *Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus* (1921): the idea that meaning is a fixed relationship between a linguistic expression and a fact in the world, and that this relationship is established by the individual speaker. The directory structure is a private language — a naming system whose logic is fully transparent only to its author. ### 2.3 The Web: Public Linking and the Problem of the External Appraiser The web, proposed by Berners-Lee (1989) and realized through HTTP and HTML, replaced hierarchical paths with hyperlinks — associative, non-hierarchical references from any page to any other page. The atomic unit became the page, and the linking mechanism became the hyperlink. This was a profound structural shift. For the first time, information units could reference each other across organizational and institutional boundaries. But the web immediately introduced a new problem: with billions of pages and no hierarchy, who decides what matters? The filesystem's answer — the user decides — does not scale to a global information commons. Some mechanism for surfacing relevance across the entire graph was needed. The answer was the external appraiser. Google's PageRank (Brin and Page, 1998) treated hyperlinks as votes: a page linked to by many pages, especially by pages that are themselves highly linked, is more relevant. This was an elegant solution, but it introduced a structural dependency with far-reaching consequences. Relevance was no longer a property of the content itself, nor of the user's own judgment, but of the graph of references around the content, as computed by a centralized actor with its own interests and incentives. The consequences of this architecture have been extensively documented and are now well-understood. We summarize them here because understanding them precisely is necessary for understanding what the memory paradigm proposes to solve — and what it does not. * **Manipulation:** The gap between the appraisal mechanism (links, keywords, engagement metrics) and genuine value creates an attack surface. Search engine optimization, link farms, content mills, and bot-driven engagement inflation all exploit this gap. The cost of manipulation is low relative to the benefit, because the signal (links, clicks) is cheap to fake. * **Centralization of epistemic authority:** A small number of platforms — Google, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok — become the de facto arbiters of what information reaches whom. Their ranking algorithms are the practical epistemology of the internet for billions of people, yet their internal workings are opaque, proprietary, and subject to change without notice or explanation. * **Homogenization:** Algorithmic optimization for engagement tends to converge on a narrow band of content types. Pariser's (2011) filter bubble analysis documented this tendency; subsequent research has both confirmed and complicated the picture. The important structural point is that homogenization is an architectural tendency, not a correctable bug. * **Decoupling of value from content:** A page's discoverability — its effective value to the information ecosystem — lives not in the page itself but in Google's index, Facebook's social graph, or Twitter's recommendation engine. Remove the platform, and the content's epistemic standing evaporates. This is a fragility of the first order. The philosophical model implicit in the web's appraisal architecture is what Nietzsche might call the pretense of a God's eye view — the claim of a perspective from nowhere, a ranking that is not one ranking among many but The Ranking. We return to this point in Section 4. ### 2.4 The Memory Paradigm: Intrinsic Value and Semantic Bonds We propose that a third paradigm is emerging, one in which three structural innovations combine to address the core limitations of both previous paradigms while introducing new ones. **First, the unit is a memory:** not a file (which is format-defined) or a page (which is link-defined and typically document-structured), but a geotemporally grounded media artifact. A memory has an inherent where and when — it is indexical, pointing to a specific moment and location in the world. It is not merely a document about something; it is a record of a particular instance of the world. It also carries AI-generated semantic metadata (description, tags) and a vector embedding that positions it in a continuous high-dimensional semantic space. **Second, links are value bonds and semantic similarities.** Memories are connected not by explicit authorial links or hierarchical containment, but by two mechanisms operating simultaneously. Economic bonds: when a user stakes tokens on a memory, they create a value link — a financial claim that connects their identity and resources to that memory. The staking graph is a value network analogous to the web's link network, but with real economic commitment behind each edge. Semantic bonds: vector embeddings create implicit connections between memories based on content similarity. These connections are not authored by anyone — they emerge from the geometry of meaning in a high-dimensional space. **Third, relevance is intrinsic.** A memory's value is not determined by an external algorithm but by the aggregate economic commitment of the community, encoded directly in the memory's own state. The staked amount — the total attention tokens committed to a memory — is a property of the memory itself. Remove every search engine, every recommendation algorithm, every platform: the memory still carries its value. This portability of value is, we argue, the most significant architectural innovation of the memory paradigm. *** ## 3. The Architecture of Intrinsic Value ### 3.1 Bonding Curves as Epistemic Incentive Structures In the memory paradigm, value is not assigned to content by an external authority. It is discovered through a market mechanism: a bonding curve that governs the price of staking attention on a memory. The price of staking follows a sublinear power function: $P(v) = P_0 + \alpha \cdot v^\beta$ Where *P₀* is the base price, *α* is the curve coefficient, *v* is the total value locked (principal plus revenue reserves), and *β* \< 1 is a sublinear exponent (empirically set to approximately 0.6 in current implementations). The sublinearity of *β* \< 1 is epistemically crucial, and its importance extends beyond pricing mechanics. It means that early stakes are cheap and late stakes are expensive. This creates a discovery incentive: the economic reward for identifying a valuable memory before the community has recognized its value is structurally greater than the reward for confirming an already-recognized judgment. The bonding curve is not merely a pricing mechanism — it is an incentive structure that rewards original judgment over conformity. Compare this with PageRank's incentive structure. PageRank rewards linking to pages that are already authoritative — a page linked to by high-PageRank pages passes more value. This creates a conservative, self-reinforcing dynamic: the already-authoritative becomes more authoritative, and the unknown remains unknown. The bonding curve inverts this: the already-staked is expensive to stake further, and the unstaked is cheap. The former incentivizes conformity; the latter incentivizes exploration and contrarianism. This structural parallel to Zahavi's (1975) handicap principle in evolutionary biology and Spence's (1973) signaling theory in economics is not incidental. The epistemic power of the staking signal derives precisely from its costliness. A signal that is cheap to produce is easily faked; a signal that requires committing actual capital provides genuine information about the staker's beliefs. ### 3.2 Value Portability and the Absence of the Appraiser In the web paradigm, content and valuation are architecturally separated. A web page exists at a URL; its relevance exists in Google's index. The page does not know its own PageRank. If Google disappears, the content survives but its discoverability — its epistemic standing within the information ecosystem — evaporates entirely. In the memory paradigm, the valuation is part of the content's own state. The staked amount, the principal reserve, the revenue reserve, and the ownership structure are all properties of the memory artifact itself, stored alongside the media URL and AI-generated metadata. No intermediary is needed to determine a memory's worth — any search system can read the staked amount and use it as a relevance signal. The value is portable. This architectural difference has profound implications for resilience and censorship resistance. A regime that wishes to suppress a document in the web paradigm can achieve this by pressuring Google to deindex it — the content survives but becomes effectively invisible. In the memory paradigm, the memory carries its community's valuation with it, and this valuation is a distributed economic fact that cannot be simply zeroed out by deindexing. The suppression of memory becomes genuinely harder. ### 3.3 Manipulation Resistance: A Formal Analysis Web-era manipulation exploits the architectural separation of content from value. SEO manipulates the signals (links, keywords, anchor text) that external appraisers use without changing the content itself. Social media manipulation inflates engagement metrics that feed into recommendation algorithms. In both cases, the cost of the manipulation is low relative to the potential benefit, because the signal is cheap to produce. In the memory paradigm, manipulation requires genuine economic commitment. We identify four structural properties that make this self-limiting: **Cost escalation:** the sublinear bonding curve means that each additional unit of stake costs more than the last. Inflating a memory's value from a low to a high level requires capital investment that grows superlinearly with the desired level of inflation. **Capital lock-up:** staked tokens are committed to the memory's reserve. The attacker's capital is trapped until they redeem, and redemption at an artificially inflated price returns less than invested if no other participants validate the stake by staking further. **Creator fee leakage:** a percentage of every stake accrues to the memory's creator as an irrecoverable fee. Manipulating a memory one did not create imposes a continuous cost proportional to the size of the manipulation. **Transparent stake distribution:** other participants can observe the staking pattern. A memory with a single massive stake but no subsequent community interest is a legible signal of manipulation, not genuine value. AI-augmented search can weight staker count and stake distribution alongside raw staked amounts, making concentrated manipulation more easily identifiable. | Signal Type | Mechanism | Cost to Fake | Epistemic Quality | | --------------------------- | ------------------------ | ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | | Hyperlink (web) | Authorial reference | Low (SEO, link farms) | Weak — easily gamed | | Engagement metric (web) | Click / dwell / share | Very low (bots) | Very weak — behavioral, not deliberate | | Economic stake (memory) | Token lock-up on content | High (capital at risk) | Strong — costly, deliberate, auditable | | Semantic embedding (memory) | Vector geometry | None — structural, not gamed | Structural — encodes meaning not intent | We do not claim that the memory paradigm is manipulation-proof. Coordinated attacks by well-capitalized actors remain possible. What we claim is that the cost of achieving a given level of apparent relevance is substantially higher than in the web paradigm, and that the manipulation itself leaves an auditable economic trace. *** ## 4. Epistemic Pluralism Through Attention Augmentation ### 4.1 The Epistemological Commitment of Search Traditional search engines make an implicit epistemological commitment: that for any query, there exists a single correct ranking of results. Google's results for "climate change" are the same whether you are a glaciologist, a fossil fuel lobbyist, a smallholder farmer in Bangladesh, or a politician seeking reelection. The algorithm presents one ordering as the answer — a claim to objectivity that is, on reflection, a philosophical position of considerable audacity. This position has come under sustained critique from the philosophy of science (Longino, 1990; Haraway, 1988) and from critical algorithm studies (Noble, 2018; Benjamin, 2019). The core objection is not that objectivity is impossible or undesirable, but that the pretense of a view from nowhere conceals the particular perspective (institutional, commercial, cultural) from which the algorithm was designed and the data from which it learned. A ranking that presents itself as objective is more dangerous than one that presents itself as a perspective, because the former forecloses the question of whose interests it serves. ### 4.2 Wittgenstein: Meaning as Use and the Language Game of Relevance Wittgenstein's later philosophy, particularly the *Philosophical Investigations* (1953), provides a rigorous framework for understanding why singular rankings are epistemically impoverished. His central claim is that the meaning of an expression is not a fixed relationship between that expression and a feature of the world, but is constituted by the practices — the language games — in which it is embedded. "The meaning of a word is its use in the language" (PI §43). Applied to information systems, the relevance of a memory is not a fixed property of that memory or of its relationship to a query. It is constituted by the use context: who is searching, what they intend to do with the results, and what community of practice they belong to. A photograph of a street market in Lagos has different relevance for a food anthropologist, an urban economist, an architect studying informal settlements, and someone researching a travel itinerary. These are not merely different preferences over the same ranking — they are different language games in which the same content participates differently. Wittgenstein's concept of family resemblance (PI §67) is also directly instantiated in vector-based semantic search. When the memory paradigm finds memories similar to a query, the similarity is not defined by a single shared property (as in classical categorization) but by a network of overlapping and criss-crossing features — exactly the "complicated network of similarities overlapping and criss-crossing: sometimes overall similarities, sometimes similarities of detail" that Wittgenstein describes. The high-dimensional embedding space is, in a precise mathematical sense, a space of family resemblances: proximity in the space reflects not identity of a single feature but overlap across many features simultaneously. ### 4.3 Nietzsche: Perspectivism as Engineering Constraint Nietzsche's perspectivism — the view that there are no facts, only interpretations, and that every apprehension of the world is from a particular perspective with particular interests — is frequently dismissed as relativism or nihilism. In the context of information architecture, it is neither. It is a precise and actionable design principle. > "There is only a perspective seeing, only a perspective 'knowing'; and the more affects we allow to speak about one thing, the more eyes, different eyes, we can use to observe one thing, the more complete will our 'concept' of this thing, our 'objectivity,' be." — Nietzsche, *On the Genealogy of Morals*, III.12 Nietzsche's claim is not that all perspectives are equally valid, but that richer knowledge comes from holding multiple perspectives simultaneously rather than collapsing them into a single authoritative view. Genuine objectivity, on this account, is not the elimination of perspective but the accumulation of many perspectives. The web paradigm, with its single authoritative ranking, implicitly adopts what Nietzsche would call the dogmatist's error: the belief that there is a single correct view, and that the task of epistemology is to identify and adopt it. The memory paradigm proposes something structurally different: a shared dataset over which multiple perspectives — each backed by economic commitment — can be held simultaneously and surfaced differently to different participants. ### 4.4 The Augmentation Mechanism: Perspectivism Implemented as Protocol The memory paradigm implements Nietzsche's perspectivism as a concrete technical protocol through what we call attention augmentation. Each search result carries multiple value layers: | Value Layer | Definition | Epistemic Role | | --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------- | | Public Value | Total ATTN staked by all users | The community's collective appraisal | | Local Value | Relevance weight for this specific query | The query context | | Augmented Value | Personal adjustment from the searcher's own staking history | The individual's interpreted perspective | | Emergent Value | Synthesis of all three via attention market resolution | The arbitraged, pluralistic result | The emergent value is not a weighted average of the other three. It is the output of an attention market that resolves the tension between collective valuation (what the community has decided), query relevance (what this specific search is about), and individual perspective (what this particular searcher has committed to believing is important). The resolution is economic, transparent, and auditable — not opaque, algorithmic, and proprietary. The consequence is that two users searching for the same term can see genuinely different orderings of the same memories, not because an algorithm is manipulating them for engagement (as in filter bubbles), but because their own economic commitments — their own acts of interpretation — weight the results differently. This difference is not hidden from the user; it is the point. This is Nietzsche's perspectivism implemented as a protocol: the dataset is shared, the memories are the same, but the view through the dataset is shaped by the viewer's own expressed commitments. And because those commitments are economic rather than merely behavioral (clicks, dwell time), they are deliberate, costly, and therefore more likely to reflect genuine conviction rather than passive consumption patterns. ### 4.5 Diversity as Structural Property, Not Policy Intervention In the web paradigm, diversity of viewpoint is a moderation challenge — something platforms must engineer against their own algorithmic tendencies toward homogenization, typically through explicit editorial policy or regulatory pressure. Diversity is not what the architecture wants; it is what external pressure occasionally achieves. In the memory paradigm, diversity is a structural property. The bonding curve rewards contrarian staking: because early stakes are cheap, there is an economic incentive to find and commit to undervalued memories — content that the majority has overlooked. This structurally promotes epistemic diversity: the system pays you to disagree with the consensus, if your disagreement proves prescient. Creator incentives reward diverse content: the creator fee means that observers in underserved regions, citizen journalists, and practitioners in niche domains have a direct financial incentive to capture and share memories. The more unique and underrepresented the content, the higher its potential to attract contrarian staking. *** ## 5. The Semantic Layer: AI as Infrastructure, Not Authority ### 5.1 The Role Distinction In the web paradigm, AI (in the form of recommendation algorithms, ranking systems, and increasingly large language models) functions as an epistemic authority: it decides what you see, in what order, and with what framing. The algorithm's judgment substitutes for the user's. Even when the system is personalized, the personalization is an algorithmic intervention, not an expression of the user's own commitments. In the memory paradigm, AI plays a fundamentally different role. It functions as semantic infrastructure: it creates the vector space in which human-driven value curation operates, without itself determining which content is valuable. The pipeline is: 1. A memory is uploaded — a human act of observation and documentation 2. A multimodal AI model analyzes the visual content and generates a textual description and semantic tags — AI enrichment 3. The text is embedded into a high-dimensional vector space — AI infrastructure 4. The vector is stored alongside the memory's metadata in a distributed index — semantic indexing 5. Users stake tokens on memories — human acts of valuation and interpretation Steps two through four are AI-driven but value-neutral. The embedding model does not judge the memory's worth — it positions it in a semantic space where similarity can be measured. The valuation is entirely human-driven. This separation is crucial to the paradigm's epistemic claims. ### 5.2 Retrieval-Augmented Generation as Transparent Synthesis When a user searches, the system performs Retrieval-Augmented Generation (Lewis et al., 2020): the query is expanded and embedded, nearest neighbors are retrieved from the vector index, results are enriched with economic data from the distributed store, results are sorted by staked amount and semantic similarity, and a natural language summary is generated from the top results. The AI-generated summary is grounded in — and cites — the specific memories that informed it. This is not generative AI producing content from its training data; it is generative AI synthesizing from a curated, value-weighted, community-validated dataset. The *memories used* field in the response creates an auditable chain: the user can verify which memories the AI drew upon, inspect those memories, check their staking history, and form their own judgment about the reliability of the synthesis. This is a fundamentally more transparent epistemology than web search, where the relationship between a query and its results is mediated by a ranking function that is opaque, proprietary, and contested. In the memory paradigm, the AI is a synthesis tool, not a ranking authority. It explains what the community has valued; it does not determine what the community should value. ### 5.3 The Limits of AI Enrichment The system's semantic infrastructure is only as reliable as the AI models that generate it. If a multimodal model mischaracterizes a photograph — misidentifies a location, misreads the emotional tenor of a scene, fails to recognize culturally specific content — the memory will be poorly positioned in the semantic space and may be unfindable by relevant queries. This is not a marginal concern: AI models inherit the biases of their training data, and those biases systematically disadvantage content from underrepresented communities. The current implementation has no human-in-the-loop correction for AI-generated metadata at the individual memory level. This is an unresolved problem. We return to it in Section 7. *** ## 6. Situating the Memory Paradigm: Related Work The memory paradigm inherits from and responds to several bodies of prior work that it is important to acknowledge. The semantic web project (Berners-Lee et al., 2001) proposed to extend the web with machine-readable metadata that would make the relationships between documents explicit and computable. The vision was similar to the memory paradigm's use of semantic embeddings, but the mechanism was different: the semantic web relied on explicit ontological markup by human authors, while the memory paradigm uses implicit geometric positioning by AI embedding models. The semantic web largely failed to achieve adoption because the cost of producing explicit metadata was prohibitive. The memory paradigm sidesteps this by generating semantic metadata automatically. Knowledge graph approaches (Vrandecic and Krotzsch, 2014) create explicit structured representations of entities and their relationships. These are powerful for well-defined domains but are expensive to construct and maintain, and they presuppose agreement on ontological categories that may be genuinely contested. The memory paradigm makes no such presupposition: meaning is distributed across the geometry of the embedding space, not encoded in explicit categorical structures. Blockchain-based content systems (Filecoin, Arweave, and others) address the portability problem — ensuring that content persists independently of any single platform. The memory paradigm incorporates similar portability concerns but adds the value-embedding mechanism, which these systems do not provide. Content stored on Arweave is permanent, but its epistemic standing within the information ecosystem still depends on external indexers. Prediction markets (Hanson, 2008; Gnosis, 2015) use economic mechanisms to aggregate distributed judgments about uncertain events. The bonding-curve staking of the memory paradigm is structurally related to prediction markets: in both cases, agents commit capital based on their beliefs, and the aggregate price signal carries information beyond what any single agent knows. The key difference is that prediction markets resolve against a ground truth, while the memory paradigm does not: the staking market never resolves, because there is no single correct measure of a memory's value. Finally, the attention economy literature (Goldhaber, 1997; Davenport and Beck, 2001; Wu, 2016) provides the economic framing for what the memory paradigm is attempting to measure and allocate. The insight that attention is the scarce resource in an information-rich world is foundational to the paradigm's design. What the paradigm adds is a mechanism for making attention commitments explicit, costly, and auditable — converting the implicit attention that any act of reading or viewing represents into an explicit economic signal. *** ## 7. Limitations and Open Questions We do not claim the memory paradigm is without problems. Several remain unresolved, and we believe intellectual honesty requires naming them clearly. ### 7.1 Plutocratic Bias If relevance is weighted by staked amount, wealthy participants have disproportionate influence over what the community sees. The sublinear bonding curve mitigates this — it creates diminishing returns on large stakes, so doubling one's stake does not double one's influence — but does not eliminate it. A sufficiently capitalized actor can still achieve outsized influence. This is not merely a technical problem but a political one. Markets in epistemic authority have historically favored the powerful; the attention economy of the web has produced a world in which a small number of wealthy actors (and, worse, a small number of profitable algorithms) determine the information environment of billions. A system that partially democratizes this authority while retaining a structural advantage for capital is an improvement, but not a solution. Quadratic voting mechanisms (Lalley and Weyl, 2018) have been proposed as a way of balancing economic signal strength against plutocratic capture: the influence of a stake scales as the square root of its size, rather than linearly. Whether this or similar mechanisms can be integrated with the bonding curve architecture without destroying the discovery incentive is an open research question. ### 7.2 The Cold-Start Problem New memories with zero stakes are invisible to value-weighted search. The system relies on semantic similarity as a fallback, but this creates a dead zone for content that is genuinely novel — memories that are unlike anything in the existing corpus. The discovery incentive (cheap early stakes) and creator rewards partially address this, but only for content that users actually encounter. Content that is never encountered cannot attract early stakes. This problem is structurally related to the cold-start problem in recommendation systems, and the solutions are similarly unsatisfying: editorial curation, random sampling, new-content boosts. Each of these reintroduces a degree of centralization that the memory paradigm is designed to avoid. ### 7.3 Temporal Decay The bonding curve has no time component. A memory staked heavily several years ago retains its value indefinitely, even if the information is outdated or the consensus about its importance has shifted. This creates a form of epistemic path dependency: the information landscape of the memory paradigm reflects the judgments of the past, with no mechanism for revision. Whether and how temporal decay should be introduced is a genuine design dilemma. A memory paradigm without decay is a permanent record, which has archival value and resistance to revisionism. A memory paradigm with decay is more responsive to changing consensus, but introduces an implicit pressure toward recency that may disadvantage historically significant but temporally distant content. ### 7.4 AI Enrichment Fidelity and Bias The system relies on AI models to generate the semantic metadata that positions memories in the embedding space. These models inherit the biases of their training data. Research has consistently documented that commercial vision models perform worse on images of people with darker skin, that geographic coverage of training data is heavily skewed toward the Global North, and that culturally specific knowledge is often misrepresented or absent. The consequence for the memory paradigm is that content from underrepresented communities may be systematically mislabeled, poorly embedded, and therefore unfindable by relevant queries — not because the community has not valued it, but because the AI infrastructure has failed to position it correctly in the semantic space. This is a form of structural discrimination that cannot be addressed by economic incentives alone. ### 7.5 Political Economy of Attention Commodification A Marxian critique would observe that the memory paradigm financializes yet another dimension of human experience — the act of attending to and valuing what one has witnessed. The creation of memories becomes a form of labor, and the staking of attention becomes a form of capital accumulation. The system creates a new market in attention and, with it, new forms of exploitation: content creators compete for staking, platforms take fees, and the infrastructure operators extract value from every transaction. A Habermasian critique would argue that economic signaling is a systematically distorted form of communication — that the colonization of the lifeworld by systems logic (in this case, by market mechanisms) impoverishes rather than enriches collective understanding. Genuine epistemic pluralism, on a Habermasian account, requires undistorted communicative action, not market-mediated judgment. We acknowledge the force of both critiques. Our partial response is that the alternative currently on offer — opaque algorithmic curation by profit-driven platforms, with no mechanism for individual economic participation — is not a form of undistorted communication either. The choice is not between market mechanisms and Habermasian discourse; it is between transparent, participatory market mechanisms and opaque, extractive algorithmic ones. This is a genuine improvement, even if it is not a final solution. *** ## 8. Conclusion The filesystem gave us private organization — a sovereign, local system in which each user's information was their own, organized by their own ontology, inaccessible to others. The web gave us public linking — a global network in which any document could reference any other, mediated by external appraisers who accrued enormous power from their position as arbiters of relevance. The memory paradigm proposes a third possibility: public valuation — a system in which the worth of information is not decreed by a central authority but discovered by a market, embedded in the content itself, and refracted through the perspectives of its participants. The key architectural innovation is the coupling of value to content. In the web paradigm, content and value are separated: a document exists at a URL, and its relevance exists in Google's index. In the memory paradigm, value is a property of the content itself, carried in its own state, portable across any infrastructure that can read it. This coupling eliminates the structural dependency on a trusted centralized appraiser that has defined and distorted the information landscape since the 1990s. The philosophical framing we have developed is not decorative. Wittgenstein's account of meaning as use implies that relevance is not a fixed property of content but a function of the practices in which content is embedded — and this has a direct consequence for information system design: a system that returns the same ranking to all users for all purposes is not achieving objectivity; it is imposing a particular form of life as universal. Nietzsche's perspectivism implies that richer understanding comes from the accumulation of many perspectives, not from the suppression of all but one — and this too has a direct consequence: a system that holds multiple economic commitments simultaneously, surfacing different views to different participants, is epistemically richer than one that collapses them into a single authoritative ranking. We have also been honest about what the memory paradigm does not solve. It reduces but does not eliminate plutocratic bias. It creates economic incentives for discovery but cannot solve cold-start problems for genuinely novel content. It provides no mechanism for temporal decay. It inherits the biases of its AI infrastructure. And it commodifies attention in ways that invite serious political-economic critique. These are not reasons to dismiss the paradigm. They are the research agenda that the paradigm generates. The transition from filesystem to web was not completed in a day; the problems introduced by the web — centralization, manipulation, homogenization — took decades to fully manifest and remain unresolved. The transition from web to memory will take at least as long. What we have attempted here is to characterize the transition clearly enough that the research agenda becomes visible. The evolution from files to pages to memories is not merely a change in technology. It is a change in epistemology — in what it means for information to have value, and who gets to decide. *** ## References Benjamin, R. Investor Benefits Packages provide enhanced staking capacity, increased withdrawal limits (for subscription plans), and pATTN rewards. Benefits are activated immediately after purchase or qualifying conversion and remain active according to the package selected. *** ## What is the difference between Subscription and One-Off packages? ### Subscription Packages Subscription packages provide: * Increased staking capacity * Enhanced withdrawal limits * Monthly pATTN rewards * Monthly bonus pATTN rewards Benefits remain active while the subscription is maintained. ### One-Off Packages One-off packages provide: * Increased staking capacity * pATTN rewards equivalent to the package value These packages are purchased once and do not automatically renew. *** ## Do I need a credit card to access Investor Benefits? No. For users who do not have access to a credit card, Investor Benefits can also be activated through a qualifying **ATTN** or **USDC conversion**. This option was specifically created to ensure all users can access Investor Benefits regardless of their preferred payment method or geographic location. *** ## Can I activate Investor Benefits using ATTN? Yes. You can activate Investor Benefits for **30 days** by converting the equivalent package value in **ATTN**. For example: | Investor Tier | Equivalent Value | | :---------------- | :------------------ | | Plus Investor | \$195 worth of ATTN | | Advanced Investor | \$445 worth of ATTN | | Pro Investor | \$945 worth of ATTN | The required ATTN amount is calculated using the live ATTN/USD exchange rate at the time of activation.\ \ Learn how to purchase and convert ATTN to pATTN here - [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn#purchase-attn-and-pattn](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn#purchase-attn-and-pattn) Once the conversion is completed, your selected Investor Benefits tier will be activated for the next 30 days. *** ## Can I activate Investor Benefits using USDC? Yes. You can activate Investor Benefits for **30 days** by converting the equivalent value in **USDC**. For example: | Investor Tier | USDC Equivalent | | :---------------- | :-------------- | | Plus Investor | 195 USDC | | Advanced Investor | 445 USDC | | Pro Investor | 945 USDC | Learn how to purchase and convert USDC to ATTN, and ATTN to pATTN here - [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn#purchase-attn-and-pattn](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/purchase-attn-and-p-attn#purchase-attn-and-pattn)\ \ Once the conversion is completed, the corresponding Investor Benefits tier will be activated for the next 30 days. *** ## How long do benefits remain active when activated through an ATTN or USDC conversion? Benefits remain active for **30 days** from the date of activation. At the end of the 30-day period, users may renew their benefits through another qualifying ATTN or USDC conversion or by maintaining an active subscription. *** ## Is there any difference between subscription activation and ATTN/USDC activation? No. Users receive the same Investor Benefits regardless of whether they activate them through: * An active subscription * A qualifying ATTN conversion * A qualifying USDC conversion The benefit tier, staking limits, withdrawal allowances, and reward structure remain the same for the duration of the activation period. *** ## How is the ATTN conversion amount calculated? The required ATTN amount is determined using the live ATTN/USD market rate at the time of activation. Because market prices fluctuate, the amount of ATTN required to activate a package may vary over time. *** ## What is pATTN? pATTN is a platform reward token distributed as part of Investor Benefits packages. Eligible users receive pATTN rewards based on the package or benefit tier they have activated. *** ## What is Bonus pATTN? Bonus pATTN is an additional promotional reward provided with subscription-based Investor Benefits tiers. Bonus pATTN is credited separately from standard rewards and is not redeemable. *** ## How is pATTN converted to ATTN? The current conversion ratio is: **4 pATTN = 1 ATTN** This ratio may be adjusted in accordance with future platform updates. *** ## Are package benefits guaranteed to remain unchanged? Package offerings, rewards, and benefit structures may evolve over time. Any changes will be communicated through official platform announcements and documentation updates. *** ## Can I upgrade my Investor Benefits tier? Yes. Users may upgrade to a higher Investor Benefits tier at any time. Any additional requirements or activation costs will be displayed during the upgrade process. *** ## Can I cancel my subscription? Yes. Subscription-based Investor Benefits can be canceled at any time. Benefits will remain active until the end of the current billing period and will not automatically renew afterward. *** ## What is the standard withdrawal limit? By default, investors can withdraw up to **10% of their Investor Earnings**. This limit is designed to support long-term participation while maintaining a healthy balance between liquidity and ecosystem growth. *** ## How do Investor Benefits Packages affect withdrawal limits? Investor Benefits Packages increase the percentage of Investor Earnings that can be withdrawn. | Tier | Withdrawal Limit | | :---------------- | :--------------- | | Standard | 10% | | Plus Investor | 20% | | Advanced Investor | 50% | | Pro Investor | 100% | The higher your tier, the greater your access to earned rewards. *** ## Why would I want a higher withdrawal limit? A higher withdrawal limit provides greater flexibility and control over your earnings. Benefits include: * Accessing a larger portion of earned rewards * Increasing portfolio liquidity * Reinvesting capital more aggressively * Taking profits when desired * Managing personal cash flow more effectively For active investors, higher withdrawal limits can significantly improve capital efficiency. *** ## What is the standard staking capacity? By default, accounts can stake up to **10,000 units**. This standard capacity is available to all eligible investors. *** ## How do Investor Benefits Packages affect staking capacity? Investor Benefits Packages increase the maximum amount that can be staked. | Tier | Maximum Stake Capacity | | :---------------- | :--------------------- | | Standard | 10,000 | | Plus Investor | 12,500 | | Advanced Investor | 15,000 | | Pro Investor | 20,000 | Higher tiers allow investors to allocate more capital to staking opportunities. *** ## Why would I want a higher staking capacity? A larger staking capacity allows you to put more capital to work within the ecosystem. Potential benefits include: * Higher earning potential * Greater participation in staking opportunities * Improved capital utilization * Increased exposure to ecosystem growth * The ability to scale your investment strategy without creating additional accounts For investors who consistently reach their staking limits, an increased capacity can significantly improve long-term returns. *** ## Do staking capacity increases affect my earnings? Potentially, yes. A higher staking capacity allows you to stake more capital. While earnings are never guaranteed, the ability to deploy additional capital may increase your potential earning opportunities compared to remaining at the standard staking limit. *** ## Do withdrawal limit increases change how rewards are earned? No. Withdrawal limits only affect how much of your Investor Earnings can be withdrawn. They do not change: * How rewards are calculated * How staking rewards are earned * How ATTN Savings work * How vesting works *** ## Do Investor Benefits Packages change the 50% Liquid / 50% Savings distribution? No. The **50% Liquid / 50% Savings model applies to all users and all Investor Benefits tiers**, including: * Standard accounts * Plus Investor * Advanced Investor * Pro Investor Regardless of package level: * 50% of earned ATTN is distributed immediately as liquid ATTN * 50% of earned ATTN is deposited into ATTN Savings Investor Benefits Packages do **not** alter this distribution. *** ## If I upgrade to Pro Investor, do I receive 100% of my earnings immediately? No. The Pro Investor package increases your **withdrawal allowance** but does not change the ATTN Savings allocation model. All ATTN earnings continue to follow: * 50% Liquid ATTN * 50% ATTN Savings The difference is that Pro Investor users may withdraw up to **100% of eligible Investor Earnings**, while still participating in the same ATTN Savings framework as every other participant. *** ## Do ATTN Savings rules apply to investors, founders, and users equally? Yes. The ATTN Savings release schedule is designed as a shared alignment mechanism across the ecosystem. The same principles apply to: * Users * Investors * Founders This ensures all long-term stakeholders are aligned around the growth, liquidity, and long-term success of the ATTN network. *** ## Can I combine multiple Investor Benefits packages? No. Only one Investor Benefits package can be active on an account at any given time. Investor Benefits packages do not stack and activation periods cannot be combined. *** ## What happens if I activate a new package while another package is already active? The most recently activated package becomes your active Investor Benefits tier. Any previously active package is immediately replaced. For example: * You currently have **Plus Investor** active. * You activate **Advanced Investor**. * Advanced Investor becomes active immediately. * Plus Investor benefits are discontinued and replaced by Advanced Investor benefits. *** ## What happens if I activate the same package again? Activating a package that is already active will replace the current activation with a new 30-day activation period. Packages do not stack and activation periods are not accumulated. *** ## Can I upgrade my Investor Benefits tier? Yes. You can activate a higher-tier package at any time. The newly activated package immediately becomes your active Investor Benefits tier and replaces any previously active package. *** ## Can I downgrade my Investor Benefits tier? Yes. You may activate a lower-tier package at any time. The newly activated package becomes active immediately and replaces the previously active package. *** ## Does my latest activation always take priority? Yes. The most recent qualifying activation—whether through subscription, ATTN conversion, or USDC conversion—determines your active Investor Benefits tier. Only the latest activated package is considered active. # Protecting Your Personal Information and Funds Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/protecting-your-personal-information-and-funds **Never share personal or sensitive information regarding your Collective Memory account or wallet with any individual**—especially your wallet’s recovery phrase. To view your ranking in each category:
Go to **PPL → Top**, then select the category you’d like to explore. The withdrawal limit also updates continuously based on your activity in the three areas above. Mappers who consistently: * Create high-quality content * Stake early on valuable memories * Grow genuine communities * Avoid manipulative behavior …will rank higher and increase their potential earnings. Your updated earnings from the past 30 days are displayed in your profile, where you can clearly review your current withdrawal limit and recent activity. Please note that your withdrawal limit may also be affected by the following factors: **Rolling 30-Day Window**
Your Next Withdrawal Limit is calculated using a rolling 30-day window. If you earned less today than you did on the same day 30 days ago, your withdrawal limit may decrease. If you earned more today (or if fewer than 30 days have passed since you joined), your withdrawal limit may increase. **CMQR Rating**
Your withdrawal limit may also be affected by your personal CMQR rating. Please make sure you're using the latest version of the app, then visit your profile to review your current CMQR rating and any relevant details. **Investor Package**
Following our latest update, all users have been assigned the **Hobby Investor** package by default. Hobby Investors can withdraw up to **10% of their Investor earnings** from the past 30 days. Please note that **Creator** and **Promoter** earnings are **not affected** by this update and remain withdrawable at **100%**. You can find complete information about all Investor packages in the following article: [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/investors-packages](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/investors-packages) # Mutual Token Release Schedule Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/savings-schedule ## Introducing the ATTN Savings release schedule for users, investors, and founders. Today we're introducing the release schedule for **ATTN Savings**. This schedule applies to all long-term ATTN allocations across the ecosystem, including **users**, **investors**, and **founders**. The goal is to align token releases with the growth, health, and liquidity of the network. Traditional token unlock schedules are based entirely on time. ATTN introduces a different approach by incorporating ecosystem liquidity into the vesting process. *** ## How ATTN Savings Works Every time you earn ATTN: * **50% is distributed immediately as liquid ATTN** * **50% is deposited into ATTN Savings** Your liquid ATTN is available immediately and can be used without restriction. The portion deposited into ATTN Savings unlocks over time according to the release schedule described below. *** ## Monthly Tranches ATTN Savings deposits are grouped into **monthly tranches**. Each monthly tranche follows its own independent release schedule based on: 1. A fixed cliff period 2. Liquidity-gated vesting This approach keeps the system predictable, transparent, and easy to audit. *** ## 3-Month Cliff Each monthly tranche enters a **3-month cliff** immediately after it is created. The cliff is based solely on calendar time and progresses regardless of network liquidity conditions. Once the cliff period has ended, the tranche becomes eligible to begin vesting. > The cliff never pauses and is not affected by liquidity levels. *** ## Liquidity-Gated Vesting After the cliff period ends, vesting only progresses while ATTN liquidity exceeds the required threshold. ### Liquidity Requirement * **\$1,000,000+ Total Value Locked (TVL) on Uniswap** When liquidity remains above this threshold: * Vesting progresses linearly over **24 months** * Newly vested ATTN becomes claimable When liquidity falls below the threshold: * Vesting pauses * Previously vested ATTN remains claimable * No vested tokens are lost * No vesting progress is reset Once liquidity returns above the threshold, vesting simply resumes from where it stopped. > Vesting is paused, not restarted. *** ## Example Assume you earn **1,000 ATTN**. ### Immediate Distribution * 500 ATTN is distributed immediately as liquid ATTN * 500 ATTN is deposited into ATTN Savings ### After the 3-Month Cliff The 500 ATTN savings tranche becomes eligible to vest. ### Vesting Period The tranche vests over 24 months, but only during periods when liquidity remains above the required threshold. For example: * Liquidity remains above \$1,000,000 TVL for 12 months * Approximately 50% of the tranche becomes vested If liquidity later drops below the threshold: * Vesting pauses * Previously vested ATTN remains claimable * Vesting progress is preserved When liquidity recovers above the threshold, vesting continues from the same point. *** ## Why We're Doing This ATTN is designed to reward long-term contributors while supporting sustainable network growth. Traditional token release schedules place tokens into circulation regardless of market conditions or ecosystem health. By linking vesting progress to liquidity, ATTN ownership enters circulation as the ecosystem becomes stronger and more liquid. This aligns the incentives of: * Users * Investors * Founders * Liquidity Providers Everyone benefits from the same outcome: a healthy and growing ATTN economy. *** ## Summary ### Distribution * 50% of earned ATTN is distributed immediately * 50% is deposited into ATTN Savings ### Savings Structure * Savings are grouped into monthly tranches * Each tranche has a 3-month cliff * The cliff progresses regardless of liquidity ### Vesting Rules * Vesting occurs over 24 months * Vesting only progresses while ATTN liquidity exceeds \$1,000,000 TVL on Uniswap * If liquidity falls below the threshold, vesting pauses * Previously vested tokens remain claimable * No tokens are lost * No vesting progress is reset ### Outcome The result is a release schedule that rewards long-term participation while aligning token ownership with the growth and liquidity of the network. *** # ATTN Token ### Network Base ### Contract Address ```text theme={null} 0x032a7252B4932c44bdE89AEE6275744376a96BFF ``` ### Documentation [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/attn-token](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/attn-token) # Stake and Redeem Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/stake-and-redeem ## **How does staking actually work?** To learn how staking works in the Collective Memory app, please refer to our detailed guide: [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/staking-attn](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/staking-attn) ## **Why can’t I redeem my recent stake?** If you’re unable to redeem your staking funds, one of the following may apply: ### **1. Account or Connection Issues** * Your account may have been temporarily blocked. * You may be experiencing a local internet or connection issue. Please check your connection and try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai). ### **2. The Specific Memory Was Reported** If you’re unable to redeem funds staked on a specific memory, the content may have been reported for: * Fake information * Spam * ATTN manipulation In this case, please contact our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai) and include the following details: * Your full name and country * Your account ID or wallet address * A direct link to the specific memory ### **Important Note** If a memory is reported, the respective stake associated with that memory will become non-redeemable. The ATTN will remain locked within the memory to ensure that no user can profit from content that has been flagged or reported. **Please avoid staking on fake or spam content. Doing so harms the fairness and integrity of the system and negatively impacts the entire community.** ## **What content should I stake in — and how much?** There’s no single correct answer. Staking depends on context, quality, and culture. But here are some basic guidelines: ### **Your Responsibility When Staking** Staking increases the memory’s visibility and rewards the creator. It also directly shapes the Top and Core feeds. When low-impact content is over-staked, it can reduce trust, confuse new users, and weaken the overall quality and credibility of the platform. ### **Recommended Staking Ranges** **1K–4K pATTN – Everyday Content**
Selfies, daily moments, lifestyle posts. Well-shot or meaningful memories can still perform well within this frame. **4K–7K pATTN – Strong Content**
High-quality visuals, strong storytelling, compelling events. Content that you think deserves to be in the Top feed. This type of content should realistically compete for Memory of the Day or Challenge winner. To see examples, check **Top > Week** or **Top > Month** inside the app. **7K–10K pATTN – Exceptional Content**
Rare, high-impact, time-sensitive moments (major events, important cultural or political documentation, extraordinary access). These memories strengthen the platform’s credibility and visibility. To see examples, check **Top > Month** or **Top > All Time** inside the app. For additional guidance, contact: [support@collectivememory.ai](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai). ## **What’s the difference between Withdraw and Redeem?** In **Collective Memory**, *Withdraw* and *Redeem* are two different actions: **Withdraw**
Withdrawing ATTN means converting part of your *withdrawable amount* from pATTN into ATTN.
This turns your in-app balance (pATTN) into a blockchain token (ATTN), which you can then swap (e.g., to USDC) and use outside the app. **Redeem**
Redeeming is the process of collecting the profits you’ve earned through your activity (as a creator or staker).
These profits are added to your balance as pATTN, and a portion of them becomes eligible for withdrawal. For a full breakdown of how the withdrawable amount is calculated:
[ https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/bonus](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/guides/bonus) # The Reality Graph Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/the-reality-graph The reality graph is the sum of all memories — a living, decentralized record of what's actually happening in the world, captured by real people in real time. No filters. No algorithm deciding what gets in or what gets suppressed. Just evidence, geotemporally anchored to a specific place and moment. Every memory added makes the picture more complete. A protest in New York. A street market in Lagos. A war zone in Gaza. A fashion show in Paris. Frontline footage from Iran. Intimate moments. Atrocities. Beauty. Chaos. All of it sitting in the same graph, valued not by an editorial team or a recommendation engine, but by the collective attention of the people who witnessed it. Over time, the reality graph becomes something genuinely new: a verified, community-curated dataset of human experience across time and space. A ground truth layer for news outlets trying to verify what happened. A training dataset for AI models that need to understand the world as it actually is, not as it was staged to appear. A historical record that no single entity controls or can manipulate. That's the vision. Not a better social feed. A new layer of reality. # Understanding Economy 1.1 Withdrawal Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/understanding-economy-1-1-withdrawal Hi, **Economy 1.1 is live**, and we want to help you clearly understand how your withdrawal amount is calculated. We’ll keep this simple and straightforward. First let's understand your account balance and what it consists of. Please see the added graphic: Desktop 1 ## Understanding the withdrawal calculation: ### **Key Basics** Before diving into the details, there are two important things to know: * **Conversion ratio:** pATTN → ATTN is now **4:1** (4 pATTN = 1 ATTN). This is relevant here because withdrawing ATTN is the process of converting pATTN to ATTN * **The pATTN balance directly affects the withdrawal limit.** Users cannot withdraw more than their available pATTN balance at the time of withdrawal * **Update timing:** * Your **Next Withdraw Limit** updates **once every 24 hours** * Next Withdrawal Limit uses a rolling 30-day window, if you earn less today than you did 30 days ago, this number will decrease. If you earn more (or less than 30 days since joining) the number will increase ### **Creator Profits** Creators earn: * **1% of staked pATTN** * **10% of injected pATTN** **Example:**\ If your memory has: * 500 pATTN staked → you earn 5 pATTN * 50 pATTN injected → you earn 5 pATTN **Total: 10 pATTN** This amount: * Goes to your **pATTN balance after redeeming** * Is reflected in your **withdrawable amount after the next daily update** * Next Withdrawal Limit uses a rolling 30-day window, if you earn less today than you did 30 days ago, this number will decrease **In short:**\ **Creator profit = 1% (stake) + 10% (injections)** ### **Conversion Reminder** All withdrawal calculations are eventually converted: * pATTN → ATTN (**4:1**) * ATTN → USDC (market rate - updating daily) ### **Affiliate Profits** * You earn **30% of your affiliate’s creator earnings (daily)** * Earnings go to your **pATTN balance** * **Reflected in your withdrawable amount every 24 hours** - added to the rolling 30-day window withdrawal calculation **Example:** * The users you brought earned 100 pATTN as creators → You get 30pATTN as an affiliate. ### **Investor Profits** When redeeming a stake, two things matter: 1. **Your profit or loss - Loss positions affect the withdrawal and your balance in the same way that a profit position does** 2. **The off-ramp fee** #### **Example 1 - Profit position and 0.5% fee** Whats App Image2026 03 27at00 30 03 * Originally Staked: 5,700 pATTN * Redeem: 8,200 pATTN * Fee: 41 pATTN (0.5%) * **Balance received:** 8,159 pATTN. This will be reflected in pATTN balance. Withdrawal calculation is based only on **profit/loss number**: * Profit: 8,159 pATTN (what you redeemed) - 5,700 pATTN (original stake) = 2,458 pATTN * This amount will be added to the 30 days window withdrawal limit calculation. #### **Example 2 - Loss position and 2.5% fee** Whats App Image2026 03 27at16 13 04 * Originally Staked: 23,900 pATTN * Redeem: 23,800 pATTN * Fee: 595 pATTN  * **Balance received:** 23,205 pATTN - Goes to the pATTN balance. Withdrawal calculation is based only on **profit/loss number**: * Loss: 23,205 pATTN (what you redeemed) - 23,900 pATTN (original stake) = -695 pATTN * This amount will be reduced from the 30 days window withdrawal limit calculation. **Important Notes** * **Only profit/loss (not total redeemed amount)** affects your withdrawal limit * **Losses also impact your withdrawal amount** * **Off-ramp fees always apply** * **Next Withdrawal Limit** uses a rolling 30-day window, if you earn less today than you did 30 days ago, this number will decrease. If you earn more (or less than 30 days since joining) - the number will increase ### **Final Takeaway** Your withdrawal amount is influenced by three main activities: 1. Creating valuable content 2. Bringing in strong contributors (affiliates) 3. Making smart staking decisions These are the core drivers of success in the Collective Memory ecosystem. # User Behavior Policy: Do’s, Don’ts & Best Practices Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/user-behavior-policy-dos-don-ts-and-best-practices ## **What is cross-staking and why is it harmful to the ecosystem?** Cross-staking occurs when a group of users repeatedly stakes on the same creator’s content in a coordinated or repetitive way, regardless of the content’s quality or uniqueness. This type of behavior is considered a form of manipulation, as it can artificially inflate staking activity and reduce fairness across the platform. Practices such as cross-staking, spamming, fake content, repetitive content, and other similar behaviors do not add value to the ecosystem and may negatively impact its overall quality and integrity. When such activity is detected, it may result in **fund deductions**, **withdrawal-related errors**, and/or **account blocking**. ## **How do I know if I’m cross-staking or not?** Organized cross-staking is taken very seriously and is considered one of the most harmful behaviors in the app, as it goes against the core principles of the platform. Collective Memory is designed to promote freedom of expression and allow the community to decide which content deserves more visibility. Cross-staking undermines this idea by turning community support into a form of self-promotion or manipulation. To avoid cross-staking, please make sure to avoid actions that may raise concerns about excessive or manipulative staking, such as: * Staking amounts that do not reasonably reflect the content’s value * Staking primarily on the same user or a small group of users * Repeatedly staking on highly similar content created by the same user * Staking identical or very similar amounts across multiple pieces of content made by the same user * As a creator, consistently posting repetitive content that may encourage manipulative staking These behaviors may be interpreted as cross-staking, whether performed by you or by users staking on your content. Such activity can negatively impact the fairness and overall economy of the platform. **The principle is simple:** stake on content you genuinely appreciate and find valuable from around the world. ## **What is manipulative staking, and why is it harmful to the ecosystem?** Manipulative staking refers to patterns of staking activity that may mislead users or create unhealthy behaviors within the platform. These actions can distort how value and engagement are meant to function in the ecosystem. Examples of manipulative staking include: * Excessive staking on average or low-quality content * Cross-staking (as explained above) * Repeatedly staking and redeeming on older injected content Such behaviors can create misleading signals about content value and set poor examples for new users. When this type of activity is identified, it may result in actions such as fund deductions and/or account restrictions. For more information on proper staking practices, please refer to this article:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/stake-and-redeem](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/stake-and-redeem) ### Cross-Staking Enforcement When our algorithm detects aggressive cross-staking patterns, accounts may be automatically blocked for: * 7 days * 14 days * 30 days * Permanent ban Users can contact Support at any time to inquire about their block period and the reason for the penalty. ## **What is spamming and why is it harmful to the ecosystem?** Spamming refers to repeatedly uploading content that provides little or no value to the platform. Spam content can include: * Fake or non-genuine content * Content captured from a screen * Unclear or irrelevant uploads * Low-quality or repetitive content * Mask-related content presented without genuine cultural or religious context will be considered spam * Animals wearing costumes or masks will be considered spam Practices such as spamming, fake content, and other forms of manipulation do not contribute to the ecosystem and may negatively impact the platform’s fairness and overall quality. When such activity is detected, it may result in **fund deductions**, **withdrawal-related errors**, and/or **account blocking**. ## **Am I able to use more than one account?** No. You are allowed to maintain **only one active account** in the app. If you currently have more than one account, please select the primary account you wish to use and ensure that only this account remains active. This applies to all activities within the platform, including: * Content creation * Staking * Affiliate activity * Any other community engagement If you are experiencing technical issues with your account, please contact our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai) for assistance. **Please note:**\ Any attempt to misuse or manipulate multiple accounts may result in account suspension and the removal of all associated funds. Such activity is closely monitored. ## **Why is repetitive content harmful to the ecosystem?** Repetitive content refers to documenting the same or very similar content repeatedly over an extended period of time — for example, posting the same type of action daily or documenting the same street or scene over and over again. While this type of content is not automatically considered manipulation, excessive repetition can create conditions that lead to problematic behaviors, such as cross-staking. When users repeatedly stake on very similar content from the same creator, it may be identified as cross-staking behavior — especially if staking activity does not reflect genuine content quality or diversity. ### **How to avoid issues:** * Avoid consistently staking on repetitive content from the same user. * Avoid manufacturing only repetitive content yourself. * Regularly review your profile — if you notice similar content patterns, consider diversifying your posts. * Focus on creativity, originality, and varied perspectives. If you’re unsure whether your content strategy aligns with platform guidelines, feel free to contact our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai) for guidance. ## **Is self-staking allowed?** Self-staking is allowed **in limited cases**. You may stake on your own content when documenting an exceptional event or publishing truly outstanding work that deserves additional visibility. This can help ensure important or high-impact memories are not overlooked. However, self-staking must be used responsibly and in moderation. It should **not** be used to manipulate rankings or artificially boost exposure. ### **When is self-staking not allowed?** Self-staking is not permitted as a systematic strategy to increase profits.\ For example: * Consistently staking on your own regular day-to-day content * Using self-staking as a recurring growth tactic Such behavior may be considered manipulative and can lead to system adjustments. If you need further clarification, please contact the support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai). # Withdrawal Errors Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/withdrawal-errors If you encounter an error while attempting to withdraw, you can contact our support team at [**support@collectivememory.ai**](mailto:support@collectivememory.ai). However, some messages do not necessarily require reporting: ## **“Today’s ATTN pool has been fully used – next withdrawal opens in 24 hours”** Today's ATTN Pool 1 A fixed amount of ATTN is allocated daily to ensure ongoing withdrawal availability. In some cases, there may be a short gap between allocation batches, which can temporarily trigger this message. **What to do in this case:**\ Simply wait **1–2 hours** and try withdrawing again. ## **“Not eligible for withdrawal yet. Capture more attention-worthy memories” or "Withdrawal already performed within the last month"** If you see this message and your withdrawal is denied or delayed by 1-2 days, we recommend the following: **Try again in 24–48 hours**\ In this case there is no need to attempt another withdrawal within the same day. The system requires at least **24 hours** to adjust the conditions for another withdrawal attempt. **Increase your contribution across the platform** Strong contributors typically stay active in the three main areas: * **Content Creation** – Creating diverse and inspiring content on a consistent basis * **Staking** – Staking on exciting and relevant new content * **Affiliate** – Bringing new users to the app Users who consistently create high-quality content, participate across platform activities, build strong communities, and avoid manipulative behavior are unlikely to experience these difficulties and are more likely to see their profits grow. If the issue persists, or if you encounter a different error, please contact our support team. ## **“This account is currently blocked from performing this action."** Whats App Image 2026 06 22 At 10 51 59 If you encounter this error while trying to withdraw, please follow these steps: First, check whether your account is blocked. Here are a few simple checks: * Are you able to post new content? * Are you able to stake? * Are you able to redeem creator or investor profits? If you are unable to perform all of these actions, your account is likely blocked. Please review this article for more information:\ [https://docs.collectivememory.ai/blocked-account](https://docs.collectivememory.ai/blocked-account) If you are able to complete all of these actions and still encounter the error, please contact the support team by email and include: * A screenshot of the error. * Confirmation that you are able to post, stake, and redeem profits. Providing this information in advance will help us assess the issue more efficiently. # Ecosystem Updates: Withdrawals, Savings ATTN, and Debit Card Launch Source: https://docs.collectivememory.ai/withdrawals-savings-debit-card-may-2026 Hi Mappers, This week, we surpassed 8 million memories and, for the first time, reached 60,000 memories in a single day. Communities around the world are sharing their lives, and together we are building both a valuable asset and a new way to earn a living from it.\ \ As we’ve shared before, we continue to iterate and improve both the product and the economy to make the ecosystem more sustainable and support future growth - in usage, geographic coverage, ATTN value, and, ultimately, in the ability for each of us to earn a living through the honest - and even fun - activity of mapping. Here are a few updates on what’s changing, and why:\ \ New withdrawal terms - live tomorrow (May 18th): * Creators - all of your earnings. * Promoters - all of your earnings. * Investors - 10% of your staking profits, with no cap. This replaces the current \$250 hard cap. All withdrawals are split 50/50: half as Liquid ATTN and half as Savings ATTN. Liquid ATTN can be converted to USDC and used immediately through standard crypto withdrawals or the Collective Memory debit card. Savings ATTN are fully yours as well, but are held in a personal vault as a long-term savings balance that unlocks gradually over time. *** **Savings ATTN** These are real tokens allocated directly to your personal vault. They are permanently yours and will never be deducted or taken away. The tokens unlock gradually over time according to a public schedule that evolves alongside the growth of the ATTN ecosystem and network. We aim to publish the full unlocking schedule by June 1st. The schedule will apply equally to users, founders, employees, and company investors alike. Why can users trust the unlock structure? Because our incentives are fully aligned with the community for the long term. This is what a collective looks like in practice.\ Everyone is on the same system. If users are locked, we are locked. If users wait, we wait. *** **Why the 50/50 split** A functioning economy needs more capital flowing-in than flowing-out. If everything earned gets extracted the moment it lands, there is no economy - just a pipe. The savings portion keeps the system solvent so the earnings stay real. This is how every real economy works: salary and savings, not salary and drain. *** **Hobby and Pro investors** Right now, everyone is on the same investor terms - 10% of staking profits, with no cap. We're calling this the Hobby tier. With the removal of the cap, high-volume staking - even as a Hobby investor - can already generate substantial income for highly active users. We're building a second tier - Pro - for users who bring their own capital. Pro investors will have higher withdrawal rights and higher stake limits. We’ll publish them alongside the unlocking schedule on June 1st. Allowing larger capital into the system is not something we take lightly, and we want the terms to be right. Until then, everyone operates as Hobby. When Pro launches, you'll be able to choose your tier during any withdrawal cycle. *** **Debit card** The Collective Memory debit card is now rolling out to all users in eligible countries. A full list is included at the end of this announcement. Over the past weeks, beta testers have been using their earnings instantly in the real world with great results, from everyday groceries to larger purchases like a MacBook. The feedback has been extremely positive, and it proved that people want direct access to the value they create in the network. Starting today, users in eligible countries will begin receiving onboarding notifications for the Collective Memory debit card. *** **What's coming next** * Withdrawal cycles are becoming faster and more flexible, moving from 30-day cycles to just 14 days. * Each withdrawal will cleanly reset your “Next Withdrawal Limit,” allowing it to grow again as you earn more. No more fluctuating “moving window” calculations. Just a simple, transparent system that’s easy to follow. * We're targeting a sustainable monthly inflow at least 10% greater than outflow - ensuring steady, long-term growth of the token value. *** **The income ranges we're building around** We plan around your potential income the same way a real economy would. These are the targets we’re designing toward based on the current token price of around \$0.01. We’re sharing these numbers, which until now were kept private, to give more visibility into the direction and goals of the system, not as guarantees or promises of future revenue. * Dedicated Creators working close to full-time: \$2,500–\$5,000/month. * Casual Creators: Up to hundreds per month. * Pro Investors: monthly effective yields ranging from -1% for poor attention prediction to 100% for excellent attention prediction, with a weighted average target of around 3.5% per month. With compounding, that translates to roughly 2x annually on average, with significantly higher returns possible for top-performing stakers. * Active Hobby Investors: path to \$2,000+/month - but that means thousands of stakes each month. The work matches the reward. * Promoters: no cap. If you bring thousands of users - which some of you already have - you can earn \$5,000+/month. As the token attracts long-term buyers (brands paying to advertise against real content and investors who see value in a future media asset) - these numbers grow. Our goal is to grow ATTN 10X to \$0.10 within the next 12 months.  This is our plan. Not a promise. It depends on us building the infrastructure and on you operating it, contributing content, curating what matters. Time and effort from all sides. *** **ATTN growth affects your income and savings directly** Everything earned in the app - as a creator, investor, or promoter - is paid in ATTN tokens. The current price is \$0.01, and the team’s goal is to reach \$0.10 within the next 12 months (a goal, not a promise or guarantee). What does that mean? If the token grows in value, the ATTN you earn and save today could also grow in value over time. For example, earnings or savings equivalent to \$2,500–\$5,000 today could potentially be worth significantly more if the token reaches those levels. That growth depends on all of us. The more people create content, refer new users, and actively engage with the app - the higher the demand for ATTN, the higher its price, and the higher everyone's earnings. You're not just a user. You're part of an economy that grows with you. *** **The bigger picture** We're building a real economy. Not a platform that extracts from its users, but one where the people doing the work share in the value they create. Every decision - the withdrawal splits, the savings schedule, the alignment with our own vesting - points in that direction. \ \ So keep mapping interesting realities. Stake in the memories you believe deserve attention. Bring your friends and communities into the network. Together, we’re building something truly unique - \ I’m sure many of you can already feel it.\ \ Thanks for being here.\ \ Jonathan (Nypple)\ Co-Founder, CEO *** **Eligible countries for Collective Memory Debit Card:** North America:\ United States Europe:\ Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom Asia-Pacific:\ Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam Latin America:\ Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru Rest of World:\ Azerbaijan, Bahrain, El Salvador, Georgia, Ghana, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Israel, Japan, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Macao, Moldova, Nigeria, Oman, Panama, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan *** **Disclaimer:** \ \ ATTN tokens are digital assets whose value may fluctuate significantly over time.
